Hi, so my names Louise and it's the first time I've tried a vlcd. My exante packs should be arriving this morning and I'm strangely excited to give this a try. In 26 days we fly to the Dominican Republic and I don't want to go feeling the way I do at the moment. I've put on over a stone since February and would like some of this gone. Here goes Start weight 11.11 Does any one have any tips?

Hi Louise and welcome. This plan will work so well if you stick to it. Keep your head down and power through for the first few days, they are the toughest and those days aren't easy but so worth it. I have never tried a VLCD before but loving so far. Good luck and keep posting!

Thank you. I'm feelin really motivated at the moment and trying to hold off having anything until my packs arrive. They are out for delivery and due at any moment. I've drunk 1l of water and surprisingly don't feel hungry. I've been to do the family shop and wasn't tempted by the food although for a few meals I have bought stuff I know I'm not going to be tempted by. I just keep telling myself that it's only for a few weeks.

Day 1 complete and it's been ok. It's not going to be easy but I'm feeling determined and I've placed my bikini on my wardrobe as motivation. 2l of water down and 25 minutes on the cross trainer.
Todays packs Tomato and basil soup- Surprisingly creamy and filling Sweet and sour noodles- ok, but a bit bland Tiramisu - filling and tasted ok.
I'm pleasantly surprised at how tolerable the packs are, I was expecting far worse! I'm feeling full and ready for day 2.

Here's to day 2! Wednesday's are always busy as little lady has her swimming lesson followed by gymnastics so I don't get home until 3ish and then have to leave to big my eldest up from science club at 4. I'm thinking if I can leave having a pack until when I get home at 3 it will be easier. I'm debating whether to weigh this morning or not as what I see will affect my mood. I wish my husband had kept them hidden until next week.

I found day 2 the hardest I think so be ready for it. Being busy is great, keeps you out of mischief, and remember to drink, drink, drink that water. On a normal day I don't have my first pack until 3/4, then another at 6ish and then again at 9. Have a great day!

So far, so good today. At gymnastics everybody was eating lunch which surprisingly I didn't want to join in with. I did however miss not having a latte with the other mums and nearly gave in. I'm home now and have just eaten my first pack of the day which was the porridge oats. I really enjoyed them and was surprised at how creamy they were. Onto my second litre of water and I'm looking forward to trying my other packs later. Sorry if I'm posting too much but I'm finding it is helping me stay in control.

No such thing as posting too much, it's a great weight loss tool for support and that's what we're all here for. Well done on resisting all the temptation.

Hi Louise, keep posting it will help you stay focused. It tends to get easier once day 3 is over. Every time you drink a glass of water just picture the fat cells that are being flushed away. You will see a very good loss the 1st week. When to weigh depends on your frame of mind & whether you get disheartened by fluctuations. Once ketosis arrives you will be feel full of energy. Well done on getting through most of day 2. I love the Porridge to & the Shepherds pie is also very nice x

For dinner I've combined 2 packs and had the breakfast eggs with the sausage mix. I really liked both of these and will look forward to eating them again. I need to drink another pint of water and I'll be at 2.5l I'm feeling tired tonight so I might go for a bath and read a book for a couple of hours.

Day 3 and I caved with weighing. 11.7 4lbs down. The results will make me stick to this lol I can't weigh again until Wednesday so I'm hoping for another 4 off by then. I'm going on a picnic play date today and I can't get out of eating. I didn't get any bars in my delivery so a pack isn't really an option. I'm thinking I'll stop by m&s and grab a salad (no carbs) for less than 200 Cals and a bottle of water. Sophia doesn't like cake and she's asked for cucumber in her packed lunch so at least I won't be able to pick from her.
