Yeah c25k day 1 fully completed. I was a big fat red tomato by the end of it. Why do we lose our fitness so quickly? when you think in May i was on week 7! Nevermind restarted and aiming to continue on.

I'm now a C25K graduate! Took me about 11 weeks because of holidays and work patterns but I saw it through. Today my finish time for 5k was 27:37 and my avg speed was 10.86km/h. What an amazing programme! Doing a 5k race next week. How's everyone else's running going? I now want to treat myself with these tights but they're about £65 ?

Hi runners!
I'm Steph, been running for a couple of years and mainly do half marathons/10k and sometimes parkrun.
Did a trail hilly half marathon 3 weeks ago up in my hometown (Bolton) and got a horrid blood blister and a personal worst - 2'33 - and I haven't run since then...until tonight!
Prepared dinner, marinated chicken, pulled on my running shoes and set off...into a complete deluge. Could have turned back but decided I needed to get out there. Slow going but it's better than nothing.
How's everyone else doing? Any races planned?

Did my first half marathon last Sunday. Was a disaster.
- they didn't have chips for half the runners who had paid and entered - loads of people missed the start due to 1 toilet for 800 runners - no warm up organised and no time to do one due to toilet and chip fiasco - sent us the wrong way 3 times. We had to run on sand for .8km, a stretch through the word so narrow and slippery you couldn't run it and had to hold hands in a link - hilliest course I have ever seen (advertised as flat) - course ended up being 14.2miles - they didn't have enough medals for all the runners
I got 2:09 for my 13.1 time per runkeeper and 2:19 official. I pretty much gave up at 13:1 miles. I'd had enough
But pleased I did it - very tough course so means when I do a flat one it should be dreamy!! Signed up for Bournemouth bay run in April - another half marathon with view to doing Bournemouth marathon in October at the running festival :-)

Which half did you do last week? Sounds like it needs to be avoided at all costs!! Great time though and brilliant for a first half - hopefully it hasn't put you off. I had a similar experience last year with the toilets, was doing the Kew Gardens 10k but we missed the start time due to the massive toilet queue. We ended up having to start at the front with the elite half marathoners, I almost died and got my fastest 10k time of 53'33 but would not recommend it. Exciting about your planned marathon, did you try for London? Don't know anyone who actually got in this year...
