Finished week 7 today. Had to take a couple of days off as I wasn't well and then had parents night, school show etc. Glad to back at it. I read somewhere about using your arms more to get a better work out so I tried today. First time my stomach muscles have felt it. Also ran my best pace today.

I was trying to figure out how to post a picture but I've no idea. Was going to show a screen shot... I just finished the C25K programme! Have now completed all 9 weeks. Haven't actually run 5k yet... I'm a bit slow! I ran about 2.5 miles so well on the way to it though. And obviously if I hadn't stopped running after 30 mins I would have got to 5k eventually!
Have now downloaded the next steps so look forward to seeing what tips and structure they give!

The speed has never bothered me either, I figured that would get better once everything fell in to place! Definitely have been more focused on running for time instead. It has made such a difference to my body too!

Have a 10k race tomorrow and I'm a bit anxious as i'm on a team for my running club. It's the senior (cough) county road championship, so lots of serious runners! ! I'm hoping for a pb if all goes to plan. Current is 52min 40s. I ran it 2 years ago and really struggled, so I really want to do well tomorrow. I don't do well under pressure though. ..

It has made such a difference to my body too! Exactly, I just like the idea of having a jog most evenings to burn calories do you find you are more toned now and has it helped with weight loss? X Did you always have a rest day as I feel like I could jog again tonight but it is meant to be a rest day and not sure if that is a necessity? Sorry for all the questions lol x

I have a 10k tomo to but I'll be nowhere 52min 40s. I'll be happy with finishing in 50s - that will be a race PB for me :-)

I would say make sure you enjoy it and I think it is great you are doing a 10K race, I would love to do that one day and if you beat your time great but if not celebrate the fact you have achieved it and enjoyed it x

I never thought I'd get to 10k either but it is very achievable. Slow and steady. I think I'm so nervous because i feel like I'll let the club down if i do poorly. . Hate pressure! ! Lol Hope im smiling afterwards, hubby and kids are coming to cheer me on so that should be a boost

Sorry for all the questions lol x[/quote] I have always had a rest day - I just run every other day. On the rest day I try and go for a walk just so that I am still doing something! I don't know if it has made any difference to my weight loss as I'm doing the cambridge plan so I have quite significant losses anyway! But my thighs are definitely getting a good shape, my belly is much smaller and my boobs are disappearing! My calves are quite big but I'm sure they will shrink at some point. I still have weight to lose so just need to keep going!
