I thought it would be good for us all to have a walking thread on here seeing as there are quite a few of us who use walking as a help with our weight loss journey.
This thread can be used as a "clocking in" place for all of our walking achievements, plans, challenges etc, just so we can keep track of ourselves along the way.
So feel free to post times, miles, steps etc and let's keep walking!

I have just started a Walking Challenge on myself yesterday (September 23rd 2016) 23rd September 2016 - 7,896 steps 24th September 2016 - 4,234 steps (so far) If anyone else wants to see a walking challenge there is one available here for beginner up to expert: blog.myfitnesspal.com/the-30-day-walking-challenge/Edited to add: PLeased with today's progress and loading my steps into the Wii Fit U is getting me round those little tracks on there in no time. I'm almost finished New York City so I will no doubt be getting a new t-shirt for my Mii to wear

Good thread. xx
I walked 40 mins yesterday and today. Trying to walk most days.
I ought to wear my step counter. Will put it on now 4pm and see what happens by the end of the day.
Didn`t put it on as didn`t know where it was then forgot to look for it.

Glad to have someone in here for company Doreen! Well done on the steps and 40 minutes. I'm doing 30 mins at the moment but want to up it to 40 eventually. You will probably be surprised at how much the steps will tot up over the day.
My updates for the last few days (as I forgot). I'm going to average them as cannot be bothered to find the exact amount: 25th: 17,000 steps (had a hectic day!) 26th: 5,000 steps (on my walk) 27th: DAY OFF 28th: 4,000 steps

Hi - just found this too - this week I've walked: 5 times for 30 mins - not much but that'll do me! xx Did you know that to get the SW gold body magic badge (well sticker) you need to walk 150mins per week. You must walk 5 days out of the 7 for week 1 and do it for 8 weeks in total. I did 25 mins today and so far 4879 steps, not bad considering I spent a time sitting drinking coffee today. (yes I found my step counter) It is surprising how the steps mount up. Walking around Tesco as I did racks up a few. I think what I may try to remember to do is to also note the steps on my walk as well as for the day. I am only 40 off target for today. I guess the more I wear it the bigger target will be. Took counter off now. It went up to 5328 so another 450 indoors.

Great amount of steps - yes the SW body magic awards are tough - when I was dieting - I got the Platinum award - but as you say the steps mount up! xx

It was out of desperation when I was trying to keep very focussed to get to target - they take ages to get don't they?
I did other 'SW site online'challenges to ring the changes too - you could choose from walking, cycling, swimming etc then choose a route from the site - say London to Paris etc then your recorded the miles as you exercised until you finished the distance. These things helpped me - small mind and all that ....

Ooh London to New Zealand. That should get some off. I had heard of that before not really sure how it worked though.
My steps for today - some of them indoors of course - is 4.173. Walked 20 mins.
