Hi ladies, I feel like all my previous hard work has been undone as I need to start again now. I did nothing throughout November and have just started back again. For those who don't know I have been way too busy for exercise as my mum and dad have both been unwell, mainly my dad who has had awful pneumonia and has been laid really low with it. He seems to be much more on the mend now so I am trying to get back into my stride. I did my bingo wings challenge yesterday and today but I feel like I look enormous and my previous work has been wasted. Oh well, never mind, back to the grindstone I suppose Hope you're all well in here xx

Oh Lisa, didn't know your dad had been so poorly. Hope he gets back to normal soon. Mr Pom had pneumonia (& a lot more besides though) and he was not good for several weeks.

So sorry Bev I only just found this. My dad is now on the mend thank goodness, he is up and about more and his cough has gone, he can get sleep now. He is just getting breathless a bit when going upstairs but the docs says to go for a short walk and get some fresh air so he will be coming with me tomorrow - not too far, only round the block. He has had a nice calm Christmas and I am so happy he is feeling so much better, he had me so worried. Pneumonia is really horrible, I didn't realise it was so bad until I had to care for my dad. He has been unwell for about 7 weeks now. Anyway I popped into the thread to ask you ladies if you would like to restart the challenge for January? Should I start a new thread or are we okay in here? xx

Gosh, I haven't updated for ages! December was a bit of a wash-out, but I don't feel as if I've totally undone all the previous work. Anyway, I'm up for it again, if you all are?

Same here SC, I've not had the chance to do any of the challenge since November due to my dad being ill so I kind of feel like I'm starting again but I'm not going to let it get me down. I'll just get back on it and get results again!

I'm sorry to hear he has been so ill, but glad to hear he's getting better. It must have been such a worry, and its a nasty illness to get. It's no wnder you weren't in a position to exercise. It's great that he's recovering now though.

Thank you SC for your kind comments. Luckily he was much improved for Christmas and we had a really lovely time, jsut quiet but I was thankful that we were all together and having such a nice time just being together as a family. I prefer to have a family Christmas rather than a "commercial" one, it just always makes me think of the important things and people in my life and appreciate them all.
I am definitely right back on the bingo wings challenge. Also need to do a lot of exercises for flab under the bra strap as the old bra is getting a tad tight so I must have a gain somewhere.
looking forward to our new challenge together girls!

Oh I so agree with the comment about a non-commercial xmas - absolutely. It is much nicer to appreciate the people who matter and the things which matter too. This is always particularly so if you have just experienced the worry of someone being really ill - it concentrates your mind somewhat on the really important things in life!
Love your new name - I saw your comments on Pomm's thread and I totally agree with whoever said about your old name being negative - I always thought so, but didn't know you well enough to say it! The new one is much much nicer!
Now we all need to be twinkle arms - I need to get some of the bra-overspill off too right now, especially after the huge xmas gains.....

DO NOT MENTION CHRISTMAS GAINS. I'll know in the morning just how bad mine is. But yes, I'm up to carry on in January - I need to find a way of doing it sitting down without hurting my back (I still can't straighten my knee and stand up for very long) but I need to do something.

Ah thanks SC for the nice comments, you should have just mentioned the username, I wouldn't have minded. I don't think anyone on here liked my Chubby Legs name much...never mind, I know I've got them so it's not like I shall forget I do not plan to have them for much longer however! Yes that is true about loved ones, as I become older I understand more and more how important it all is and how much people mean to me. I have loved Christmas this year, I feel like I'm kind of holding onto it somehow, silly I know but I don't want it to end. I am not starting on my Twinkle Arms challenge until January, I'm just walking at the moment to get back into the swing of things. But I will be all systems go on myself for the toning to begin as soon as NY is over. Bev you could do something very gentle without weights maybe? All movement is something afterall xx

My legs are nothing to talk about either ladies. Always been one of my worst features (along with hefty hips). Maybe we should be doing some sort of legs challenge instead. Actually I have found that squats tone them up, but boy are they rough on the knees. Definitely not for you Bev!
Now, I realise today is January, and Althea I went for an either 7.5 or 8km walk (depending on which step counter I believe), I forgot to do arms today. So, 0/1 - not a great start!

Well the walk was good enough for day 1 SC, I did not do any arms yesterday either, as I wasn't counting it because it was NYD! I'll double up today if I can.
Squats are killers I think, I hate doing them, along with lunges. I might incorporate a few into my regime daily though, I will see how I get along with the walking and Wii work. I will probably start back on my leg workouts on my mini gym eventually, just got to get back into the swing of things after two months off.

Definitely no squats or lunges for me. No arms done yesterday as my restart on both food and bingo wings is today! I'll do them later on
