Day 3. Just had my first pack of the day which was the chocolate shake. I really liked it.
How's everybody else getting on?

Hi Danders, I just started yesterday. Like you I had the food for ages before I started. Finding it ok so far, a bit tired and hungry but not unbearable. I liked the chocolate shake, and the sweet and sour noodles.

Hi lilac penguin. Congratulations on taking the leap!!! We're the sweet and sour noodles nice? I'm thinking of trying them next time.
I've just made the maple syrup pancakes and they were really nice. I burnt them but still ate them. I think the cooker was on too high a heat. The only thing I'd say though is that they are not as filling as a bar or a shake. I would definitely have them again.

I liked the noodles and they were quite filling. I have some pancakes but will leave them a few days if they are not as filling. I also like the peach water flavouring which I have been having with hot water and that seems to help stop the hunger pangs a bit.

I might give the noodles a try then. The peach flavouring also sounds like a good idea. I'm determined I'm not ordering anything though until I need it. I'm terrible for stock piling stuff!

I love the bars and quite a few of the shakes, lemon cheesecake being my favourite. Haven't tried any food yet...

Just had the spaghetti Bolognese for my tea, it was ok but not as nice as the noodles. It had a bit of a funny after taste. I ate it though and it wasn't disgusting, as my family said it looked.

Lol lilac penguin. Sometimes they really do look disgusting don't they?! But we are so starving we will eat anything!!! I'm not sure what I'm having for dinner tonight. I'm starving after the pancakes but trying to stretch it out for a little longer.

Hi Kittybling. Can you give a review of the bars please? I haven't ordered any of them yet Danders there are 2 types of bar, cereal based ones and ones that people refer to as 'paste" bars. The paste ones have chocolate in them so there's a double chocolate one, a peanut butter one, a chocolate coconut one etc. They are very nice, gooey and sticky and chewy but haing said that I prefer the cereal based ones. Some people say the paste bars upset their stomachs too. There are a lot of diferent sorts of the cereal bars, raspberry and white choc chip, toffee, nut and raisin, chocolate orange, lemon and yogurt, strawberry jam and yogurt, cookies and cream etc. These are very nice, my favourites being the toffee nut and raisin and particularly the strawberry jam and yogurt one. They are bigger than the paste bars and feel more substantial to me. I much prefer the cereal type ones but other people will tell you differently.

Thanks kittybling that's so helpful. Are the cereal ones better from a fibre perspective then do you think?

Finished the day on a strawberry shake which was very synthetic tasting. Still drinkable but not a favourite. Hope everyone else is having a good day on track.

I've just been out to lunch and had a chicken Caesar salad with sauce on the side and a couple of slices of mini bruschetta. I'm hoping that that is not too bad and will have a shake this evening. I guess we still have to live don't we?!

Yum sounds nice. I had the raspberry porridge which I didn't like very much. I have another sachet of it and am going to try cooking it differently hope it might be a bit better. I read it is better to mix it with only 150mls boiling water and only zap it for 1 minute, rather than pack instructions.

These things are always worth a try. Hopefully cooking it differently will help. I'm afraid I don't have any suggestions. Sorry.
