I have 6 lbs to lose to get into the healthy BMI range but as I lose so slowly that could take 6 to 8 weeks!

Third walk of the day means total steps 17678 which is 7.25miles and 1040 calories used. Really pleased with that. x That's awesome, Mere. You have to work hard for that! Most steps I ever did in one day was 12k. Took forever.

Wow well done Pandora. I actually don't watch TV much as I too am a reader and I find TV boring. The only thing I watch is Game of Thrones and Wimledon when it is on. Hooked on Wimbledon. Thanks Mere. I'll watch Orange is the New Black with my son (love that show--clearly the writers are women), or Downton Abbey with his gf and her mother. My SIL tells me Game of Thrones is really good, but I haven't figured out the characters enough yet to feel engaged, and I never watch TV alone because my attention just wanders off toward a book or the Internet. Tonight at the gym though I couldn't believe it when a middle-aged guy cycling behind me changed the channel without asking anyone did they mind to a gossip channel. We'd been watching a pretty good film and suddenly we've got six people discussing what class Brad and Angelina fly like it matters. I should probably download audio books to my phone or figure out how to use itunes radio. Like you, I prefer walking outside (preferably on a trail for me) but finding time before the sun goes down is a challenge on weekdays. Spent two hours at the gym today--an hour and a half on the weight machines and 30 minutes on cardio. I probably need to cut back on that now, given the low calorie intake. But you get results so quickly when you first start exercising that it's very motivating.

Monday is usually one of my least active days as I don't go to the gym. Having an office job that keeps me at my desk I don't usually manage many steps, although I do try to get up and have a quick walk every so often and go out at lunchtime for a walk unless it is raining really heavily. Yesterday though I was not working at my own desk but in the downstairs office and had to go upstairs to help clean up broken glass, so by the end of the day my step count according to my fitbit was double my average Monday steps.
Tonight is gym class. This is a new class, a circuit class which has involved running around the sports hall and various different exercises including using some weights, and skipping. I wasn't sure about it before it started as it was replacing a class I enjoyed but I have liked it so far -even though I've not run so much for years (I have tended to end up just walking briskly for part of the time)

You are doing great with the exercise. I am off to my Zumba class in a few minutes, great fun you don't even realise you are exercising!

Zumba was the usual laugh then this afternoon I went for a 4 mile walk with my daughter. Used just over 750 calories between the two.

Walk with hubby used up 520 calories so I am now up by 951 calories so far and I will be walking with my daughter later tonight. My Fitbit buzzed while I was out this afternoon so I know I have done over my 10000 steps today. Will post step total tonight. :-)

Add another 800 calories to my earlier total so 1750 calories burned off with exercise. 2 hour walk with daughter about 8 miles and a total step count of just under 26000 steps. If I have not lost weight at WI tomorrow I think I will shoot myself. On second thoughts I don't think I have the energy to pull the trigger! x
