Hello! Starting Exante tomorrow and plan to do a mixture of Exante and low carb to drop 2 stone by Christmas.
I have done a vlcd before, but it was years ago and slowly the weight has crept back on.
Hoping there's lots of support here as I'll need the distraction over the next week.

Hi Magic and welcome. Good luck getting started. You've done it before so you don't need me to tell you how. Keep posting and keep going through those first few days!

Hello! I've put off my start for a day as my delivery will be tomorrow so it's easier to start then. I was going to low carb in prep but it just didn't happen (the thought of a last supper was just too appealing!)
No excuses tomorrow though. I've forked out the best part of £100 on the 100 for 85 offer (it's a good deal but still).
Forgot to order drinks mixes though...does anyone drink NAS squash instead?

I had lots of last suppers too! I just drink water and coffee most of the time, just use the drink mix now and then. If you use squash be careful of the citric acid.

Squash is a bad idea. I only have water, coffee, peppermint and green tea. Occasional diet cream soda. Good luck getting started x

Thanks for the advice. I think I'll let myself order drinks mixes in a week as a reward!
Day 1 tomorrow...excited and hopeful!

Day 1 done (more or less)
I made the executive decision that I'll have a skinny latte instead of a pack on occasion as it's got a similar amount of carbs and I'm doing the man plan so should still get full nutrition in. It's the one thing I'll really really miss if I give it up. Bizarre, I know! May switch to soya latte as lower in carbs...
I also need to up my water intake. Only 2 litres today so not great.
On the up side, I resisted cupcakes, biscuits and kitkats at work...and at the end of the day too, which deserves a medal!
Here's how it went:
8.30am skinny latte with sugar free vanilla syrup
1pm Exante toffee nut & raisin bar
4pm Exante sweet & sour noodles
6.30pm chicken fillets & broccoli
Cals: 816 Carbs: 71g

Going to aim for three Exante packs and a low carb meal tomorrow for a total of 800 cams.

Good first day! You can do it, one day and meal and distraction at a time

Planned on an early night tonight but work got in the way. Still, I took my work to bed (!) so I was well out of the way of the kitchen. Just beginning to get hungry now, but safely tucked up in bed.
