Hi everyone With New Years resolutions in mind here's a new challenge with a twist! (Hope this is the right place for such a challenge!) The challenge is to try a new food or prepare/cook an old food in a new way every week. Then if we share our experiences/recipes here we get more inspiration too! Also share ideas of what we have done with people's chosen ingredients.

My first food to try will be quinoa! Sounds odd as I'm a veggie but I've never cooked it! Watch this space lol..

I'm going to be trying roasted swede wedges coated with garlic and paprika, and maybe some parmesan.
I'm hoping to try a few EESP days, so I'm thinking roasted swede may be a good substitute for potato xx

Love this idea. I've had both quinoa and sweet potato (I have that lots) so I'll need to think of something else.

I remember participating in a challenge like this on more than one occasion on the Minis site. It's good for keeping me interested, and for getting ideas too :-) xx

Not new really, but I wanted by mash to go further, well to look more, so I cooked some carrots with the spud & mashed them together. Looked a lot. I used to do it with cauliflower. All in the mind but it was good.

That would be a new one for me too!! Hmmm I'll have to plan that one in! I tried butternut squash 'spaghetti' today for the first time but I feel that's a bit of a cop out lol x
