Hi all, Have been a member of Minimins for a number of years, so was gutted when it shut without notice today. So, delighted that this site was set up - thank you! I hope some of the Exante pros come over! I'm getting my packs tomorrow, so will start on Wednesday. I have a lot of 'events' coming over the next few months, so will have to have a few days where I will eat, but will try and keep it low carb as much as possible. Figured it was better to do this, than not even start until September! I'm going to Greece in August with my OH, so aiming to lose 1stone - 1.5 stone by then. Fingers crossed! Anyway - hi to anyone who's reading this = any advice welcome! Sharon x

Hi Sharon. I have no advice for you because I have never done Exante! I am planning to start on 8th June though after a weekend away and a big night out and I will be needing everyone's help then! What have you ordered? Good luck getting started

Hi KB,
I've ordered a bit of everything- hope to have a shake in the mornings, then either a shake or bar at lunch, then a hot meal in the evening.
Good luck - we can do this! S

Hi Sharon
How much do you want to lose in total? A stone and a half is totally doable by August , if not more

We CAN do this and we WILL (really want to get started now but that would be madness)

Hi getagrip -Ideally I'd like to lose 4.5 stone... but anywhere near 4 stone would be great. 1.5 by my holiday means I'll not be worried about getting stuck on the slide into the pool! Kitty - yes we can! Are you cutting down before you start, or, like me, is that just an impossibility?! Just had all my packs delivered to work (so glad they come in a plain brown box!) so looking forward to getting home and unpacking everything! S x

I have a long weekend away this weekend and then a big night out next Friday night so cutting down may not be doable! Have just put in my first order :-)

Exciting, isn't it!
Have you done anything like this before? I did the Cambridge diet a few years ago and lost a lot of weight - but over the years, and meeting my OH has made me put it all back on! So, I know it's doable, and Exante sounds SO much better than Cambridge, so I'm hopeful!
Do you want to lose much?

I have never done anything like this before which is why I am really daunted by it I have to say. I have 3 or 31/2 stone to lose so a fair bit but manageable I think.

Hi, Absoloutley managable! I started today and didn't find it tooooo difficult really - I was flipping hungry, but nothing I couldn't deal with. Liked all 3 meals I had too, so that's a plus! s

Just thought I'd say Hi , Old Minimins member but more on Cambridge weight plan forum, but It's way too expensive now and Exante's products are quite nice :-) so bought the 84 products for £84 hoping it comes tomorrow for a fresh start in June . Hope you've all had a good day today .

Hi, I've ordered the shakes today. They have been despatched already so hopefully will get them very soon. Sadly, they use Yodel and I have a lot of bother with Yodel but hope they will deliver to me all OK.
My plan is to have the shakes five days a week and on the two days I work (very long, active shifts) I will have two shakes and a meal at work as I need the energy and cannot afford to be tired.
My problem has been comfort eating which has progressed over the last ten years. If I buy a packet of chocolate bars (Ripples for example), I can't just eat one a day I eat the whole pack of three or four in one go and then feel crap about having no self control and that leads to negative thoughts about other things and then I want to eat more rubbish to comfort myself!
Awful I know!
With exante, I will not be buying any food and will prove to myself that I don't need to rely on these rubbish foods.
They are not treats, a treat is something good. Stuffing my face with a pack of chocolate bars is akin to poisoning me rather than treating me!
I'm nearly 50 and excess weight isn't just about my physical appearance but the stress on my joints and my feet aching at work etc!
I'm quite active, I have two dogs and walk every day as well as having an active physical job. I then go home and eat well but spoil it by then eating all the junk food as well!
My weakness is chocolate.

jo66 you sound like me. Nearly 50, 2 dogs etc. I am married to a man who can chop an inch off the end of a Mars bar to eat and out the rest in the firdge for another day. Is it any wonder he's skinny and i'm not??
