With the losses going so well, and me getting a bit tired of Exante, I had planned on switching to low-carb towards the end of June. I think this made me relax subconsciously, and between Friday and Monday there I kind of went off the packs mainly and started on real food. Chicken, fish, olives, asparagus, raw nuts, cheese, even some dark chocolate. And I cut back on the water consumption. Well in those four days I've actually gained 1lb Aaarrrrggghh! Back on the plan then to try to claw back some of the damage - it's my 10th week, so I suppose I was due a re-feed

You'll drop that lb within a day of being back to the plan so I wouldn't even consider it as a gain in all honesty
Exante DOES get tiring doesn't it? You get a real fatigue about it all so that's why it's good to do as you have done and totally hit it and get the job done as soon as possible
Good luck for the return to real food at the end of the month!

Thanks Jules. The end of the month co-incides with an all-inclusive week in Majorca, so I need to allow for the forthcoming disaster now Might even go back to Exante for a bit after the hols...

Oh yeah, 'all inclusive' sounds like a dieters nightmare, albeit a delicious one!

You won't have gained anything, your scales will just be weighing the food that you've eaten. I had a terrible off-plan night yesterday, I totally bombed an interview for a promotion so went home and ended up face-down in a pile of pizza, cake, chocolate and biscuits Back on it today!

Good for you getting back on it right away! Well, I've continued eating real food the whole week, as well as Exante, albeit it's all low-carb stuff (chicken, olives, salad, almonds etc), and as a result I've lost....abour four ounces! You were right, though...nothing gained If I get back to Exante TS this week, hopefully I should see some better scales movement.

Thanks for asking, Lily. Not great, actually. Ate out again yesterday, then came home and had a dreadful 'falling off the wagon' evening, the first I've had since starting 10 weeks ago. Not impressed, so attempting to get straight back onto TS again today. Hopefully I've not done too much damage. What about you?

I've had a few rather less than perfect days over the last fortnight but today marks day 3 of being 100% on Exante TS. I've challenged myself to do 30 days - so we'll see how that goes!
Hopefully you managed to get back on track? I found I hadn't done as much damage as I feared but it takes a day or three for the scales to drop down again.

Hi Cake (wish I didn't like your name so much!),
I am eating because:
1. I've been on VLCD a long time, and am a bit tired of it. 2. I'm missing out eating with the family, so when they ask (and they always do) I'm finding it a lot harder to say 'no'. 3. I'm a greedy git, with a history of not being able to control my food urges, so sometimes they're just too strong.
Sad to say, I've not been able to stick to the diet again this week, but I've not given up hope of getting back on for the next two weeks before holidays.
Good luck to you for this week!
Martin

When your eating with the family are you keeping it low carb?/ primal?? As after reading the exante website it seems that you need a lower carb diet to go onto.. I remember that you were hoping to transition to paleo/primal

Yes, I'm trying to keep the carbs to a minimum and cut out grains/sugar as far as possible. It works fine most of the time, with only the occasional slip up, but I guess I still must be eating too much
