Day 0
I think after all of the countless attempts at dieting I'm ready to make this one the one. I'm motivated and ready to change things! I'm starting a total meal replacement diet tomorrow as a kick start and am going to go low carb after that. I've tried slimming world and weight watchers in the past, but found it hard to regulate my eating by following their eating plans, I'm hoping that a low carb, high protein meal replacement will be the answer, as I've had moderate success with Atkins in the past. I want to at least shed a couple of stone by Christmas time. I have over 9 stone to lose to get down to a healthy weight for my height and so this will be a long journey. I'm going to try my best to check in a few times a week at least, to keep me motivated and track my progress. I know that this will be really really tough and I may slip and stumble, but I'm sick of the pain which comes with being this size, both physically and psychologically and so I'm definitely ready to start my NewLife. Here's to change!!!

Here's to change!!! Welcome newlife, and good luck! I'm hoping to lose at least 2 st by Christmas, too. I'm size 20 and my goal, specifically, is to buy and wear a nice size 16 outfit on Christmas Day. Roughly 12 weeks from now! I lost a packet of weight and kept it off for years then slowly but surely began to regain. Luckily I didn't regain the lot but I have 6 stones to lose now (originally lost 11 stones) and I've been faffing about all year so far, losing and regaining the same couple of stones! Christmas, here we come xx

Thanks guys. Unfortunately my meal replacements haven't arrived today as expected so I'm going to continue sticking to low carb in prep.
Wow a 11 stone loss! if you can do that once serielslimmer than I'm sure that you can try for 6 stone. A size 16 by Xmas sounds nice and attainable. Are you buying the outfit in advance, or is it going to be a treat when you hit the goal? I've got a few old outfits of mine which I'd love to fit into again. I'm going to place them in a prominent place in my room to motivate me.

Grrrr meal replacements still haven't arrived. I'm a little disappointed with Exante, thought things would be speedier on the delivery front, shakethatweight shakes arrived after a couple of days. Still not doing to badly low carbing, although I did go out to lunch with a friend today and didn't make choices which I'm proud of. Really need to work on not being dragged under the bus by social pressure! Hoping my replacements arrive tomorrow. Fingers crossed.

They're usually prompt delivery-wise. Just a blip no doubt but irritating when you're raring to go! Soon you'll be in the zone and on your way.
I might wait until nearer Christmas to buy the outfit. Give me something extra to look forward to xx

The meal replacements have still not arrived. They emailed me to tell me that they'd tried to deliver, but they hadn't as I'd been present all day. I think the issue is more with the courier service than Exante themselves, but very disappointed nonetheless. I've started on some shakes which I had left over from another diet (ultra slim), which I wasn't keen to use because of the sugar content, but I've decided that they'll help bridge the gap until these other meal replacements come...if they ever do!
So haven't had a bad day.
Breakfast: 1 shake (raspberry) Lunch: 1 shake (raspberry) Dinner: A cheese sandwich Fluids: 1 cup of tea, 1 cup of coffee and plenty of water.
I tend not to snack through the day, which I know isn't great for metabolism, but I'm usually busy and forget. I save snacking for near bedtime, so if I'm going to crack it will be late evening, though at the moment I'm feeling full and reasonably okay.
Really hope I'm able to sort this delivery by tomorrow.

How are you getting on hun? I've got a lot of weight to lose too xx Good luck on your journey. I see you're on s&s, I've never tried their products, but have heard good things. I think if we just take one day at a time before we know it the weight will have slowly dropped off...if we stick to plan of course

Thanks meme, I'm looking forward to following you two and offering encouragement sounds like a good idea. I'm pleased to say my packs have finally arrived! I've had a good first day so far, though am feeling a little peckish now as I haven't had dinner yet (just got in). I'm going to try a Lemon & Raspberry shake for dinner and see how I feel. Breakfast: Strawberry Exante shake Lunch: Strawberry jam & yoghurt Exante crunch bar Drinks: Black coffee

So yesterday as my first day on Exante and boy was it an experience. I ended the day with a strawberry and lemon shake and so followed the plan to the letter, the experience however was not a pleasant one. I was starving, like absolutely starving! I know I really should have expected it on so few calories, but when I'd tried Atkins in the past and other vlcds I'd never been this ravenous. I literally went to bed dreaming of food and really had to fight the urge to run to the fridge and binge. I'm so proud I got through that first day though and still feeling motivated. The strawberry jam and yoghurt crunch bar was delicious and quite different from the other weight loss bars I've had in the past, so that was a pleasant surprise.
I've started today with a vanilla shake, which tastes a bit like ice cream and so I can't complain. I've not got a very busy day ahead, which should be a good thing, but may not be, as boredom may make me feel peckish. I keep thinking one day at a time and I'll get there. Today will probably be a challenge, but I'll try my best.
