Hey paesh, I'm new to the forum but can relate to most things in your journey. I also did vlcd in 2008, lost a decent amount of weight, then had 2 kids (2011 and 2013) and also went through a lot of psychological trauma and had counselling. I'm also the same weight as you. 17st 2.5lbs. I was 18.8 after my first child so I've been up there in the 18s. I'm also a lot more than my OH who is around 14.10 or 12 I think. Today is day 3 back on Exante for me and I'm in a good head space. Thought I'd say hi and well done for what you've achieved so far. Em x

Hi Em you sound really motivated, that's great. I need to motivate myself again!
Today we've been to the zoo and did a fair amount of walking which is good. We have only been able to manage 1litre of water each so when we get home I will try to get 2l down.
Danders how much water do you drink in a day?

Hi Paesh
I really struggle, but I fill a jug of water which is 2 litres and try to get through that. I also have at least 4 cups of something, i.e. tea, black coffee and green tea.

Oh right, we drink similar amounts then! I was confused as you said you drink more than me

I think that was me Paesh. I must drink 4 or 5 litres a day, maybe more. That's water, then I have a couple of coffees and a green tea or 2. I always drank loads even when I was big, so just continued with that and more. (And no, I'm not diabetic lol)

Oh silly me ? getting all confused. I couldn't do 5 litres. I did have days doing 4 on CD but I don't think I could manage that. I've had 3 litres today. We had the spag Bol pack tonight, it was quite nice! I've noticed the last couple of days I've been more in ketosis than usual on my sticks. Earlier in the week I was only traces in ketosis. The only thing that has changed? I haven't had a Dahl for a pack which is upsetting as we have about 50 dahls in the cupboard. I'm trying my best to get back in the zone psychologically. Because I felt so rubbish about myself I've been so desperate to eat something, which just proves to me how much of an Emotional Eater I am. Tonight I've been trying not to feel despondent over the fact that I need to lose 6 and a half stones to reach BMI 24.9 and 7.5 stones to reach BMI 22.5 but how great I'm going to feel on the way down with each pound I lose and how good I will feel when I hit certain milestones and in the end how amazing I will feel when I reach my target. 1st Milestone is 15st 6lbs which is what I last weighed myself as 3 years ago. 2nd milestone 14st 8lbs the weight I was when I started CD all those years ago 3rd milestone 13st 4lbs when I will be back in a size 14, the size I spent most of me teenagedom and early 20s in. 4th milestone 12st 4lbs when I am no longer obese 5th milestone 11st the weight I was when I was married 6th milestone 10st 9lbs when I am no longer overweight Last milestone 9st 10lbs. GOAL WEIGHT.

It's fab to have big targets but like you say they can overwhelm you a bit. Someone once said to me that all you have to do is lose a lb. then once you've lost that one you have to lose another one. Made sense to me. If I think I need to lose 6 stone then I just turn to mush! You can do it one day at a time.

Finally a loss on the scales this morning! 0.75lbs down to 17st 1.25lbs.
I'm hoping on weigh in day (Thurs) I see 16st 13lbs. That would be amazing, I will feel SO much happier being out of those stupid 17s.

An ok day again. We had sweet n sour noodles for breakfast at 1pm as we were at a kids party in the morning, jam bar and then Indian curry. Both packs were amazing. It was tough cooking the tea for my DD and her friends we were looking after for the evening. My DD starts school for the first time tomorrow
