Hi I'm new to this site but not new to VLCDs and was on Minimins and Cambridge Diet forum back in 2008.
I did CD for the first time in 2007, losing 4 stones in 3.5 months. Going from 14.8 to 10.6. Felt amazing and managed to keep it off for a year.
Did lipotrim just before my wedding in 2008 as I'd regained a little. Going from 12.7 to 11.0 in 6 weeks.
Did exante in 2010 as had regained entirely and I wanted TTC. Went from 15 to 12 and fell pregnant.
Did exante after my LO was born in 2011. Went from 15.7 to 12.
However the past 4 years have been incredibly traumatic. I've had a lot of serious health issues and bereavement which have resulted in my gaining an incredible amount of weight. I actually don't know what I weigh but I can guess I'm probably around 16.7
I've never ever been that big. Ever.
But the biggest change in my life has been having intense psychotherapy due to the trauma I have experienced. After a year of this I'm in an amazing headspace now. I've identified a lot of my issues with the cycle of losing weight and what makes me regain. I purposely didn't try to lose weight whilst doing therapy as I wanted to focus on that.
Now I'm ready to do it again. I trust this diet completely. I know it works for me. Luckily my partner is supportive although my friends aren't and I'm going to have to hide it from them. Hence why I'm here.
Because I'm not weighing myself, I still need some form of monitoring and accountability. I'm still having therapy and I'm going to post on here as well. Minimins was great for me and I was gutted to go on today and find it's been closed.
I'm on Day 3. I'm already in ketosis as I'm lucky enough to go into ketosis very quickly. I'm feeling clear headed and focused.
I'm planning to do Exante for 5.5-6 months.
I'm going to weigh in on Christmas Day.
I hope to get my wedding rings back on. I've not been able to wear them for over 4 years which breaks my heart.
I have big plans for how to lose more weight once I stop (as when I stop my BMI will still be just overweight) and also to maintain.
And also should I have another baby next year I have plans on how to make sure I do not pile stones on like I did with my LO.
I'm excited for the next 6 months!
