Day one done Only with 1kg weights, on level one. But done, nonetheless I am aiming to complete 30 days by the end of June, which gives me a couple of days off in the middle Due to a shoulder injury, I probably wont be able to increase my left arm weight beyond 1.5kg, but I will increase my right arm weight, if I make that much progress. To be honest, I am way too much overweight at the moment, so it is a struggle. I will get there though
If anyone want to join in, it would be great

Will be watching this thread with interest and spurring you on. I have every intention of completing the 30 day shred at some stage but currently have a vitamin d deficiency which is making me feel so achy and tired that I've decided to concentrate on dieting rather than exercising until I start to feel better. Hopefully when my meds have kicked in I'll be able to give this a try (have never made it past day 4 so far tho!)

Thanks freespirit I have done the shred before. But not consistently now for a good 3 odd years, so it will be good for me, to keep me motivated. Take one day at a time, that's all we can do I hope your meds help you move forward easier

I've bought the New Beginner Shred by Jillian Michaels as although I love 30 Day I find it wrecks my knees :-(
Well done on day 2 .. You'll be toned up in no time

I would love to do this one day but I think I'm too heavy right now. How long is it (per day ie is it 20 min thing) and how much does the DVD cost? X

I bought the DVD 4 years ago from amazon. It was a fiver then. The best fiver I have ever spent. It's 22mins long. I am struggling when I do it, but it is amazing how quick your fitness builds up I was in an unbelievable bad mood when I got in from work today so I did not shred, and came to bed to sleep it off. I will be back tomorrow

Good lass !!
Now a wee bit of advice required please I might be a bit sharp asking this, but I just need a plan, if you know what I mean.
I am currently using 1kg weights. Do you think it would be better to do the complete shred with 1kg, then move up to the next weight ? OR Keep on level 1 for the complete shred , moving up the weight every 10 days ?

I'm a ponce marge. I alternate, some exercises I use 1kg, others 2kg and a few 3kg. I have them all aligned along the bed so if I start with 3kg then find my form isn't correct I move down. What works for one may not work for all but I find starting higher then reducing is better than starting lower and being "comfortable". I say that cause I've no injuries so 1kg is comfortable for me. You may find some of the exercises easier with a 2kg weight in level 1, than a 1kg weight in level 2. As long as your form is correct them go with what feels right xxx

Aye, you're right Carrie. I think I will do the whole thing with the 1kg weight, until I know my arm/shoulder is properly on the mend If I feel the need for more, I will up it then. I think it may be a while though, before I get to the 3kg. But I am sure the 1.5kg will still make me work
