Is there anyone else out there who stitches? I thought it would be nice to share photos, tips and anything else of interest.

This cushion is my current WIP. The photo was taken a few weeks ago and it's progressed a bit further, but not much.

Beautiful! I do tapestry work and will post a piccie when I work out how to do it. Thank you. I've also got a tapestry cushion on waiting to be finished, but as it's for me it'll have to wait. Also (whisper it quietly) I'm not good at finishing projects, particularly when they're for me. Have you checked out the thread on photos on the technical support thread? I ended up downloading my photos to Photobucket and then copying and pasting the IMG(?) into the post - ignoring all the add attachment buttons. It seems complicated but I'm sure we'll get used to it.

Thanks Patty. Now, don't you breath a word of what I'm going to tell you, to anyone. It will be our little secret.... I have 2 aran cardigans, for myself, half finished and up in the loft.

Haha - I've plenty of UFOs lying around! Part of the problem is I'm too self-critical but the main part is simply losing interest because something different catches my eye.

I'll see if I can change the title.

I do love cross stitch - although think i am more basic that that! I love how you did the leaves at the bottom...how do you do that? Think i may start a new project over the summer as I have not done anything in ages. At xmas i like to stitch gift tags and cards.

I would have a go at cross stitch if the pattern was printed onto the fabric. But this counted, especially when it is on a cotton fabric with no 'holes' to guide you is a bit beyond my capabilities. I'd love to do it, because some of the designs are mouthwatering. Like the idea of stitching the gift tags. May years ago, you used to be able to buy small kits of small tapestry Christmas cards to make. I used to send them to special people. I've seen the cross stitch ones but haven't seen the tapestry ones for years

If you can hold of some tapestry canvas and and crewel wool, you could have a go when time permits! Tasi - have a look at Sewandso.co.uk as they have plenty of stamped cross stitch kits and a few tapestry cards. (Use those terms for searching). I've used them a few times and have had good service.
