Hi *waves I was wondering when you do your feast days do you have a calorie target or just go with what you fancy. X x Hello lovely That's a good question! With the 5:2, you do get a calorie allowance for your non-Fast days - it's what's known as your TDEE (Total Daily Energy Expenditure) - but it's entirely up to the individual how strictly they stick to that number. Some people tend to be a bit more relaxed and don't calorie count everything, they just eat whatever they fancy. But for me, I just know I couldn't do that. I'm the type of person who needs a structure and a limit, otherwise I'd just see it as a green light to binge on anything and everything in sight! For that reason, I calorie count every day to make sure I never exceed my TDEE. TDEE is entirely different for each individual and is calculated using your height, weight, age, etc. That's why you might notice that I never post my calories on Feast days, only Fast days. I wouldn't want people just copying off the amount of calories I'm having, as it wouldn't necessarily be the correct amount for them. If anyone is interested, thefastdiet.co.uk is a great website and it also has a TDEE calculator on there. The main thing to remember is that you need to recalculate your TDEE each week as it will lower as your weight lowers. Not massively (mine has dropped by 98cals as I've lost 17.2lb), but it does make a difference! Hope that all makes sense. Sorry it's a bit like War and Peace! xx Here to Subscribe. I really like the format you use to log your food! Hello lovely, thanks for subbing! I'm a bit of a geek when it comes to my diary, and I like it all to be consistant and neat and tidy lol!

Hello - subscribing too. Very impressed with your morning food diaries - I can see that as a good way to go to keep on track. I keep thinking about trying the 5:2 to get my last stone off as I keep falling off the SW wagon and this would just be 2 days per week - how do you feel on fast days? Is it easy to stay motivated?

Hello - subscribing too. Very impressed with your morning food diaries - I can see that as a good way to go to keep on track. I keep thinking about trying the 5:2 to get my last stone off as I keep falling off the SW wagon and this would just be 2 days per week - how do you feel on fast days? Is it easy to stay motivated? Hello lovely! Thanks for subbing I have to admit, I will probably be better at posting my diaries on weekdays. Weekends I will probably not be so efficient lol, but I will always try to catch up with them on a Monday! I honestly love 5:2 and as crazy as it probably sounds, the Fast days aren't half as bad as they sound!! I mean some are harder than others, in terms of hunger, but you do learn to cope. Your first Fast is always the hardest, without doubt! But once you get into the swing of it you soon realise what works best for you. My biggest tip for Fast days is plan, plan plan!! The worst thing you can do is go into a Fast day not knowing what you're going to eat. Then you might end up saying to yourself, "oh I'll have this, it's only 50cals". But when you only have a total of 500cals for the day, it soon mounts up!! I always plan in advance and I sit down on a Monday morning and write up a meal plan for the week. For my Fast days, I usually plan three meals with my 500cals but then I just see how the day goes. If I don't feel hungry enough for breakfast and lunch then I might skip them, and just use the leftover calories to make a bigger dinner, etc. Another big tip is to drink plenty of fluids! Often we mistake hunger for thirst, so it's really important. Water is probably best, but I also like cans of Diet Coke / Pepsi Max, as I find the bubbles help to fill me up! And at 1cal per can you can't really go wrong! As for motivation, I always tell myself on Fast days that it's only one day and that tomorrow I can have whatever I fancy. Also, seeing the scales drop each week is enough motivation for me!! It really is addictive. I don't think I've EVER had 6 losses running in all of my weight loss history, so it just goes to show how encouraging it is seeing a loss on the scales. It makes me want to carry on sticking to plan the following week in order to see another loss! Hope this has helped a little x

What? They do peanut butter cornettos? How did I not know this? They are heaven!! I got mine in Tesco. Quite expensive at £2.99 for a box of 4, but sooo worth it!! They have like a thick layer of chocolate on the top, studded with caramely peanutty stuff. Then PB icecream and a core of sticky, gooey, caramely sauce. And, of course, the chocolatey tip of the Cornetto. OMG, can't wait for mine tonight!!

Well, since my holiday is now paid off, I've been to Primark at lunchtime and bought my first new bikini, denim shorts and some new flip flops. Feeling so excited! The bikini was such a steal - £4 for the top and £3 for the bottoms. I tend to have to buy bikini's that come in seperates, as I'm so top-heavy. The top is a size 16, where the bottoms are a 12. It's got lots of room for improvement, I shall say that, but at least I have something to work towards! I still have 14 weeks left to get myself to a point of feeling more comfortable and confident in it. Same goes for the shorts - they are a pair of high waisted denim ones with a cute lace trim. Size 12 and they fasten up, but that doesn't necessarily mean they fit lol. I would probably be okay stood up in them, but currently wouldn't dare sit down in them for fear of the button pinging off lol!! Again, plenty of time before now and September to work on that. The flip flops are so cute. They're white and have sparkly diamontes on them. Just everyday flip flops for going down to the pool, beach, etc. But a bargain at £3. I do love holiday shopping
