Hi everyone, I started Exante last Monday and have been lurking for the past week ? Am no stranger to VLCDs, did Lipotrim in 2010 and Cambridge in 2012, lost loads both times but never got all the way to goal, and piled it back on too ? Anyway, I'm hoping to get married next year so desperate times are calling! So far so good - enjoying most of the products, been 100%, and lost 12lb this week!!! Looking forward to getting to know you all and getting plenty of tips and support ?

Welcome to the boards, Clara.
Great loss this week - that's amazing. Have you found Exante any different to the other vlcds that you've done? This is my first vlcd, so it's interesting to hear about everyone's experiences.
I look forward to reading about how you're getting on

It's such a great film! "The shopkeeper was another story altogether. We beat him to death with his own shoes!"
I'm finding Exante the best vlcd I've done for a number of reasons. 1) Variety of products. Lipotrim only had 3 shakes and the most vile flapjack known to humanity- I still have nightmares about it! Genuinely don't know how I stuck to it for 2 months, Cambridge has better range but nowhere near as good as Exante. 2) price - it's substantially cheaper than any other VLCD. Nuff said! 3) No consultant/weigh in to deal with. I find this much better as never had a decent consultant, and am better when monitoring myself. How are you finding it? And how long have you been on it? X

This is week 5 for me and I'm finding it really good actually. I love seeing the scales register the changes and I'm finding the food surprisingly pleasant with one or two exceptions. It's so much easier than I thought it would be. I really feared feeling hungry and weak, but bar the hunger in the first couple of days, I haven't felt deprived at all. People keep apologising if they eat 'tasty' food near me, but I'm really not bothered. I have a higher cause (i.e. smaller jeans!). I got involved with Exante as I was looking at the Cambridge diet but the price was very high. I was attracted by the idea of having a consultant and a bit of accountability, but to say I've heard mixed reviews of the consultants is generous. Some great, mostly not. I'm doing quite well holding myself to account and I just don't feel like cheating.
Ok, we've had some word that there is some bad red rope licorice circulating in the crowd. Please stay away from the red rope licorice. Do not bite any off or chew it. It could cause a dental emergency...

Hi clara and agnes. You are both doing great and are so positive which is inspiring. I begin day 3 today. It's my 1st day working from home but i am confident that it will go well. I am not really hungry but have been heady since last night so just waiting for this 'headacheyness' to go. I am hoping it will. Well done on your losses. I look forward to reading more of your posts!

Cheers pet! Once ketosis kicks in you'll feel fab, and keep slurping that water down too, gives me terrible headaches/blurriness if I don't. My latest thing whilst others are eating (particularly yesterday tea time when the lads were eating one of my favourite meals that I'd cooked them too!) is thinking however much I want to put some of it in my mouth, how will it make me feel in an hours time? Answer is disappointed in myself, but more to the point it will provide no pleasure at that point, and will therefore have been a pointless action. I'm not sure if that makes sense but it's helping the psychological deprivation thing for me!
