Hi All I've only just found the new forum, I was a regular lurker on minis but hoping to be a bit more involved on here. I have done Cambridge before but this is my first time on Exante. Anyway I actually started on 16th September at 14:09 and am aiming to be 11:09 by 25/12 (not saying the C word!) I am a scale bunny (always hopping on the scales) but I only record my Friday weigh-ins, expecting to weigh 13:13 tomorrow, so slightly a head of schedule ?? Doing ok so far must keep on the water! Bye for now

Thanks Kittybling, got my 13:13 was expecting it to be 13:13:75 and it was 13:13:00 so 3/4 of a lb better I usually eat a small meal in the evening with my hubby, just a bit of chicken with veg or salad while he has pie and chips! He didn't really want me to do a vlcd again but I got to breaking point, nothing else was working, in fact I was putting weight on, I find it so much easier to say no to things when doing this rather than ww or sw! Off to glug more water X

Still 13:13 Whilst the rest of the house had jam sponge and custard I had my first exante caramel pudding, not sure what I was expecting but it was ok, only ordered 2 just in case, I would order them again to have rather than feel left out. Not that jam sponge was ever really my thing!
Why is it with vlcd's that you lose nothing for days and then suddenly a few lbs all in 1 go? I'd rather it was little and often, you are having so few calories it has to work but why is it once or twice a week instead of every day?!
Off to update mfp and have more water!

Hi Danders and Magic
Magic, good luck to you too, have you done a vlcd before? Just keep your head down for the first 3-4 days then the headaches will be gone and it becomes easier. Just keep your water intake up! The results will be enough motivation to keep you going.

Sounds like you are going well, I find Exante is good, but sometimes hard to stick to. There is a good variety of food though. I like to add some veg to the meal packs, lately been eating quite a bit of meat and cheese which I am trying to cut back on, but it is helpful sometimes. I think I go out of ketosis quite easily and sometimes I just get so hungry.

Cheryl - I have done a vlcd before, slim and save, but it was a while ago. I lost 2 stone and kept it off, more or less, for a couple of years. Now I've let it slide and have 3 stone to lose. I'm not sure whether I'll do it all on Exante or just use it to kick start. See how it goes...

Yay you can do it! I find the same thing, scales stick for days and I get really disheartened, and then suddenly 2 or 3 lbs vanish. I'm trying to remind myself of that fact on a regular basis!

I'm holding on to that thought, I haven't lost anything since last Thursday so hoping for at least 2lb by next weigh in day on Friday!

Anyone else record their food intake on mfp? I'm having 3 exante packs and a small meal but my Vitamin C and Iron keeps coming up low, I thought 3 packs was supposed to give you 100% of required vitamins an nutrients?

Hi Cheryl,
I'm also about to start on Exante. Well done for your progress so far, sounds like you're off to an amazing start despite all of the temptation. As long as you're using the 200 calorie packs and the 150 calorie packs as separate it should come up as giving you 100% nutrition according to the website. When you mix 200 and 150 packs then it would probably come up as unbalanced.
