I seem to be OK so far but only into my second week so hardly the most experienced vlcder.
My tips are to have a couple of spoonfuls of psyllium in porridge or oatmeal. It bulks it up and makes it look like a non-diet portion, it fills you up and it helps keep constipation at bay. I sometimes add a little to shakes too.
I also like to keep to my 'undiet' eating pattern breakfast (either shake or oatmeal depending on whether I have time to sit at the table or need to keep moving, something light for lunch (almost invariably soup) and a meal around 8pm. I think that keeping to the pattern helps me feel less deprived.
I have 3 x 800ml water bottles which I fill each day. One has an infuser tube in it which I add a few mint leaves to. It's easier to drink the amount of water needed if the water is there to hand and you don't need to refill glasses or bottles.

It sounds like you are doing great on plan Whiskey and are managing quite well. Well done on your loss this week and now that you are into your second week you may find the diet plan a little more easier to manage as your body is now in ketosis.
You only mentioned that you are eating three meals per day, I hope you are having four and you are not skipping anything as this can actually do more harm to you being in ketosis.
That's a great idea adding the mint to the water and I will pass that on to others too! x

Ahh no. I do eat 4, I only mentioned the three as being the breakfast, lunch and dinner pattern that I've long been used to. The fourth pack is either a teatime 'snack' or evening treat depending on how I feel. I guess I'm saying that it's my 'perception' of continuing normal meal types and mealtimes, if not actual meals that makes it doable for me.

That's great then As long as your having every pack to make sure you are getting your RDA You can also have your optional 200g of vegetables and 150ml of skimmed milk, 100ml of semi-skimmed or 50ml of milk if you choose to have it. If you are not fond of milk you could substitute it for 100g of Fat Free Fage, plan permitting. Have you got a favourite pack that you are enjoying the most so far?

Hmm, I love the mushroom soup and the spicy spaghetti but to be honest there isn't anything I've hated. I gave my hubby my choc mint and the mango and orange shake - but that's because I don't like mango or choc mint in general. The cheesy pasta is probably my least favourite, I like something with more zing, but there again I'm not a fan of macaroni cheese either

Ooohhh those are my favourites to Whiskey Have you tried the Chocolate mint shake hot? I much prefer it hot than cold although I do like it as a mousse. Do you use your infuser for adding other flavours such as ginger ?

No not tried the choc mint hot; just not a lover of choc mint things really. would never choose a choc mint ice cream, biscuits or a choc mint aero. Not really a fan of chocolate flavoured things either. I've not tried ginger but I might try a vanilla pod when I get round to it. I discovered ginger iced tea yesterday though, so I'm mainlining that at the moment

I add a couple of tea bags to fizzy water over night so it`s kind of like ginger ale

Hi whiskey, if you like experimenting with iced teas what about trying nettle from Heath and Heather or the fudge melts which Twinings do which is delicious x
