Oolong after months of indecision I have finally put an order in, I have ordered the 4 week of bars supply with 2 7 pack of strawberry and chocolate shakes, as I'm not a big fan of milkshakes.
So lots of support along the way will be fantastic! Excited and scared at the same time! I'm going to steal someone else's idea and weigh everyday for the 1st week (sorry can't remember where I saw it)
ive got a wedding to go to in 4 weeks, so also have to get through a busy summer holiday of hen party, camping & days out with the kid.

Thanks I'm excited, but scared I won't stick to it as I've tried all the other diets and haven't managed to stick to them, so going to try this for 30 days and see how I get on.
What would you say is the hardest bits!

Have you done this sort of diet before? The first few days are the worst, day 2 was it for me, some people say they feel rough up to day 5. After that you hit ketosis and things get much easier. Drink water by the GALLON, the more the better. Keep busy the first few days, take early nights if required. I wait until as late as i can in the day to have my first pack but that might not suit you, you need to work out what works for you as you go along. I lost 10 pounds in my first week and have lost 26 pounds so far, 6 weeks in so the losses really do add up.

Agree with kitty I think the really good losses spur you to keep going x

No, I've not , to lose a few pounds I normally low carb but I'm pastvtha point now and cannot stop eating! I have so much to lose since having my 3 children and can't seem to get back on track and get my eating under control. I think going cold turkey has to work for me as I've tried everything else and am fed up of being so overweight. I've set myself a 50lb weight lose to start but would like to lose 100lb if I can

I had never done this sort of diet either, I'd tried everything else though! I'm amazed that I've been able to stick to it so well.

It's here!
So I had a chocolate orange bar at 11:30 managed not to eat anything up to that point and I've had about 3 pints of water, no added sugar squash next to break it up a bit.
Im also chewing a chewing gum so I can't pick on the boys lunch, which they are tucking into now. Going to have a strawberry milkshake when boys have their dinner and another bar in the evening when the urge to snack will probably kick in.

Be careful of the squash by the way, if it contains citric acid this has been known to prevent or kick you out of ketosis. Sounds like day one is going well!

Oo thanks I didn't know that , i will be sure not to have too much. I'm normally a diet coke addict but have also managed to not have one of those today as well. ? Didn't last till tea time had my shake as I was cooking the tea though a pinch of cheese might have fallen into my mouth ? tasted OK though had to add a splash more water as it was a little thick. But just reminded me of a slim fast shake. Looking forward to something chocolately later. have a little bit of a headache despite drinking a far bit of water but is probably withdrawal from the coke as well.

The headache is perfectly normal for the first few days but you are doing the right thing drinking plenty. Some people say adding a pinch of salt to your shakes for the first few days can help. you can have one tin of coke zero a day if you like.

Well done on starting, you will be delighted with yourself in a few weeks.... The carb withdrawal can be tough for the first few days after that once you know when to have your shakes it is more a battle of the wills with mental hunger rather than actual hunger. You will see people eating and you will battle with yourself that you too deserve to have some - but just have a picture in your head of you looking fab in a dress or hang a trouser on the wardrobe door and try on after each weigh in and it's so motivating to see it fitting better and better each week. Once that is fitting hang another item. The weight loss in week one is so motivating but perhaps but away the scales then from there on as watching the scales daily can affect your mood especially if it STS for a day or so. I also have 500ml of sparkling water and 1 can of coke zero and the rest plain water. Stick with it and you will see great results...

Thanks don't think I'll be able to stick this long term, but it has already made me realize I'm eating out of habit rather than hunger . but I'm already missing food and sitting with the boys and eating . not helped I'm obviously still having to cook for everyone else! Normally when I start a diet I fall at the first hurdle so managed a day so far and doing well on day 2 so far!
Start - 251 Day 1 - 249
