Hi there - I'm Jazz! I'm after a brand new start, so where better to post than a brand new shiny forum, where all the good user names are still up for grabs? I was doing ok on Exante up until about a month ago. I'd lost about a stone and a half. Think quite a bit of that might have gone back on, but I'm not planning to weigh myself when I get back on plan tomorrow. I'm going to try something radical and measure my progress in terms of successful dieting days. I'm sure I'll end up on the scales at some point, but I'll try to hold off for a week or two... Got lots to lose - about 5 stones in all - but I'd be deliriously happy to lose 3 stones first of all, and maybe tackle the rest on a different plan. We'll see. It all seems too far off to be sure. i'm starting back on TS tomorrow - wish me luck!

Hi Jazz, welcome to FF Good luck avoiding the scales. I know I shouldn't but I've turned into a daily weigher at the moment, I think it helps me stay motivated in this first week. What do you think was the cause of the derailment a month and a half ago? How can we help you avoid that again? Good luck!

Hi Caz, thanks for the welcome. Well, I've got a feeling it was daily weighing that messed up my head - I hit a phase where I didn't lose a pound for days and a part of my brain decided I'd be better off back on SW. And of course, I wasn't. The moment I had syns to play with I went wild! And then off the rails completely. I have loads of Exante packs left and little money left until payday, so it's a no brainer really! How's your first week going?

I initially did well on SW too and then when the losses slowed down I fell off the wagon in spectacular style and never made it back on.
Exante/low carb eating makes more sense to me. I never really understood how it could work long term to have huge amounts of pasta/rice/potatoes. And I could never figure out why those carbs were good but bread wasn't.
At least with exante I feel like I've got a better understanding of how carbs affect me.
Good luck sticking with it!

Good luck with exante......I love the fact that doing a VLCD shrinks your tummy so it's harder to over indulge without feeling a bit icky... How's your first week going?

Good luck Jazz, I'm in my first ever week of Exante and guilty of being a daily weigher. I think I'd benefit from hiding the scales for a bit too and checking just on Mondays to update my challenges. Easier said than done!
