Did 2 hours at gym. 1 1/2 hour on the weight machines (slow today), and 30 minutes of cardio. Hope I don't wake up wrecked tomorrow (on Lipotrim TFR) Two hours at the gym, well done you

Exercise today was hours of house work! 7500 steps worth! Did not have heart rate monitor on so do not know calories but it must have been a lot because I am now exhausted. The upstairs windows and the conservatory windows will have to wait. Kartcher ran out of power and I ran out of steam about the same time! x

It is a good feeling but unfortunately it isn't all done in spite of working for 5 hours I still have all the upstairs windows and the conservatory windows still to do. At times like this I wish I lived in a cave. x

Nice long walk through the city tonight with a friend after a birthday dinner for one of our college kids. The kids drove everyone else home, and we walked and talked. Heavenly. Back to the gym tomorrow.

So I've never done exercise classes before, ever. I've been working out at the gym for nearly a month now (cardio machines and weight machines) and am ready for some new challenges. But if the challenge is too extreme, I probably won't stick with it. What do you all recommend for a middl- aged, middle weight woman who has never done classes? What should I start out with? I sort of tempted by a class that combines pilates and yoga. Also curious about zumba.

I would say Zumba because it is great fun. Really just dancing. Pilates looks easy but is really hard, think sore muscles all over. I started with yoga but did not find it challenging enough. We have a lady at the gym who is 81 she does yoga every day, used to teach it. She said she did not like it at first but because of her age she felt it was the best exercise to start with. She was 72 then. You are a mere youngster. Enjoy. x

I like spinning.. But it is quite intense.. Zumba is a fun class and is a good work out too Pilates yoga I think might be good as they are not cardio intensive.. But your body still works hard
