Hi everyone I am a former minimins. Hoping this will be as friendly and helpful as minis was. I have a lot of weight to lose, 116lb I have lost and gained so many times but I guess the main thing is I keep trying and I am still here. Hoping some of my old minis buddies will find me here.

Hi Rachel! I recognise your name but I don't think we've ever chatted before. I suppose if we put a positive spin on what's happened today we can see this as a nice shiny fresh start and we can meet people that we perhaps haven't spoken to before. I hope everyone that relied on the Mini support makes it over here soon, I feel bad knowing there are people that haven't connected with any of the various facebook/other forums that have been created today.
I've got more than you to lose but with every pound down we are one step closer x

I agree, it will be lovely finding our old buddies from minis, but also making new friends too!
I am back in the diary section, but considering starting a thread here too as I have a LOT of weight to lose (again!)

Great to see some old and new faces.
Ok plans for my weight loss journey. I was fasting but my head isn't in the right place at the moment, so I am doing some 16:8's instead. Fasting for 16 hours and eating in an 8 hour window. Just counting calories alongside this, only started back properly yesterday after my parents visit, and so far so good. Not got back to walking since my parents left last week , feeling pretty miserable and missing them loads. As some of you already know I am currently living in Ireland and my family are all in Cheshire UK.
Food today :-
lunch was ham and cheese sandwiches with a packet of hula hoop pufts and one of the new muller light raspberry and peach yogurts.
Tea is sausages, spaghetti and knorr mashed potato and a bit of grated cheese on top. Mmmm
Snacks :- 2 chocolate chip snack a jacks with cashew butter, a malteser hot chocolate, a few grapes.
What do you all think about carrying calories over during the week so can have more at the weekend? Good idea or not? And do you think it works? For example I was 5/600 calories under yesterday so was going to carry some over to the weekend! !

I find that when I eat more on the weekends, I gain back over the weekend the amount I lost the week before. So my thoughts are that its not a good idea to save kcals for the weekend.. and I will continue to tell myself that!!!

Always good to meet someone new Thanks for that Tara. It's just you see a lot of slimming clubs do it with points and syns etc so was just wondering if it would work the same with plain old calories.
