So I have decided I am definitely starting Exante on 8th June. I have orderd a 4 week box of shakes and bars which I think will work best for me to begin with but ask me again when I have tried some of them! I find coffee a great appetite suppressant but I drink my coffee with milk and can't really stomach it without. So, if I had some milk in my coffee on a daily basis, would this be the end of the world? Obviously if it would be the end of the world then I'd have to learn to live with it or give up coffee completely. Next question, what about green tea, which I love, with fruit flavourings? I read somewhere these are a no-no as well. Also, if I have one meal off plan and had maybe steak, would this be ok? Or would it set me back?
(Are you fed up yet)
One night with a couple of alcoholic drinks, would I never be the same again?
Sorry for all the questions, I'm just trying to get my head around all of this before I start, I really want to give this the best possible chance of success.

Well done for biting the bullet. I'm really not the best person to give advice as I'm on and off the diet like crazy (I use it as a few days quick weight loss) But when I'm on it I sneak a little (and I mean a v little) milk into 2 coffees a day. Def no problem with a low carb meal eg steak. I track my cals and carbs on MFP when I do Exante and tend to aim for less than 800 cals / 80 carbs
Drinking on it on the other hand is dangerous and something I've never done. Not sure why it's so bad, I just remember that it is. Worth googling.

I've been on Exante now for nine weeks (getting a bit sick of it tbh ) and from the beginning, I switched from tea to coffee for precisely the reason you stated - it helps with the appetite. Only if I'm out, or very rarely at home, will I drink black coffee. If I'm out, it's because I like Espresso, but at home I almost always have milk with my coffee. I have around 3-4 cups per day, most times with milk, and just the usual size glug. In nine weeks I haven't noticed it having a negative effect, either on weight loss or ketosis (30lbs down so far). Sure, I've been feeling hungrier of late, and have started having raw nuts, green veg and chicken when that happens, but I put that down to 'diet fatigue' more than anything. I'm due a break and back onto real food, but I'm trying to keep it going for another four weeks (holidays!). Hope this helps, and good luck when you begin

I would say that green tea is absolutely fine as is the very odd splash of milk in a couple of coffees a day
I would try not to think in terms of eating / drinking alcohol if you're planning to do a total meal replacement. It just derails you and you'll find it a slippery slope to falling off the wagon / especially if you drink.
I'd try and get a perfect four weeks under your belt first and maybe then have a protein meal of steak and salad if you need to. The drinking is a definite no no - you want to give yourself the best chance of success and get the job done ASAP
Almost all of the battle with exante is a mental one , it's very tough. Loads of support here though for you

I make up the shakes and use that in coffee. 3 coffees from one shake is a good ratio. It does give the coffee a slight sweetness depending which shake you use. It just helps you not use too much milk I also in the past used skimmed milk in coffee originally but I prefer the shake option

I ultimately want to lose 3 or 31/2 stone but I want to put in a perfect month to start and reassess once I have done that before I decide to continue. I'm hoping the weight loss will be enough to spur me on to a second month but that remains to be seen!
