Hi!!! I'm Lucy, a little 4"11 Slimming Worlder and currently pregnant with my second child. I'm due Oct 9th and we are team blue!!!
3 stone, yes that's how much I lost to get to target of 8st 2 after having my first DS.
I was rubbish diet and exercise the first time around, I eat everything and did no exercise at all! This time having a 4 yr old to keep me on my toes has meant that I haven't just chilled on the sofa for long spells like the first time.
I don't know how much I weighed before I gave birth - I probably blocked it out! All i know is I Re-joined SW when DS was 6 weeks old and I weighed 11st 0.5lbs. That would of been mid May 2011, I lost very slowly to start, I thought with BF I would lose a lot faster but it just didn't happen for me - Slow and steady as they say! It took me until the following easter to get to my target of 8st 2 and I was very happy! A few family members said I looked too skiny in the face but deep down I wanted much smaller legs and bottom area so I have a new plan for when it's time to start losing again - EXERCISE! Before I fell pregnant I was running, not that often but when I did I could go 3-5 miles without stopping. So that's the plan - SW and running to help shift the baby weight.
I confess to being a serial weigher - It helps me to stay on track in between weigh in's as I go every other week as a shift worker (whilst hubby's working and so I don't have to get a sitter)
My weigh in's are as follows:
Found out pregnant - 8st9
5+5 - +0.5
7+5 - +1
9+5 - +0.5
11+5 - sts
14+5 - +3
15+5 - -1
17+5 - +2
19+5 - +3 - 9st 4lbs Total 9lbs on
I've done a lot of research about 'expected weight gain' and whilst I understand that everyone is different i'm still gaining what's expected based on my pre pregnancy bmi which was in the normal range - Just! Gaining about 1lb per week is expected and i'm certainly doing that!
I do have the odd days where I exercise but in reality, working and looking after a 4yr old, and running a house is more than enough for me most of the time!
Hope to hear from others in the future - Be great to chat.
