Hiya!
So I'm new to Exante but not to the world of VLCDs. I don't seem to know anything about the different plans on Exante, I hear about them but the website doesn't seem forthcoming with divulging info on anything but TS or Sam Bailey. I have loads of the standard 3 a day packs and the only slight issue I'm having is I'd previously been used to slim and save with 4 packs and I'm really feeling the difference strangely enough!

I felt the same with Exante! Although the packs are bigger than Slim and Save I missed the 4th pack and the milk etc. I believe there is a plan Exante do where you have four packs but they are special packs with lower cals etc. Theres quite a lot of info on the Exante site, Working Solutions is a 1000cal a day plan -> www.exantediet.com/diet-plans/working-solution-lcd-1000kcal.listI've personally never done that one as I think the meal replacement packs are only bearable if doing full on VLCD.

Oh you're a star banana thank you!! I didn't see your reply but asked on the Facebook page and the Man Plan definitely seems like the plan for me for now anyway!
Thanks a mill!

Hi, my shakes didn't arrive yesterday and yodel left a card. I have now arranged for them to deliver to my local Argos as I am out and about a lot and don't want parcel left with neighbour.
I have ordered banana, chocolate and chocolate mint. Assorted boxes of 7, totalling 112 individual shakes.
They are approximately 200 calories a shake.
Do I take three or four a day as total meal replacement?
Two days a week (Sunday and Monday) I work a 12 hour shift. I plan to have a shake for breakfast, he for lunch and then a meal at work in the evening I am on my feet for almost all of this time and need food for the energy!
How does this sound?
Thank you for any advice.

Hi jo
You take 3 shakes if you are doing total solution Though they also do a four pack a day plan but the packs will have the number 4 on them. Meal on workdays sounds perfect! Good luck!

The Exante website is not as easy to navigate as it could be. Every time I go to place an order I find new pages, new offers, food packs I've never seen before. It's an adventure. But basically... There's Total Solution - TS - where you have 3 x 200cal packs a day (or 4 x 150cal packs a day if you choose from the 4 a day range). Total calories 600cal per dayThere's Total Solution Plus, which is TS (as above) with 100 calories of low carb vegetables. There's a list on the site, but in a nutshell, the idea is to have no more than 100cals of veg with no more than 5g of carb. You get a lot more celery for your calories and carb buck than you do tomatoes. Total calories 700cal per dayThen there's the Man Plan (you don't have to be a man to do it!) - which is either 4 x 200cal packs a day, OR 3 x 200cal packs plus a low carb 200cal meal. Total calories 800cal per dayNext up is Working Solution - WS - which is 3 x 200cal packs per day (or 4x150cal packs) plus 400 calories of food (this doesn't have to be low carb food but you'll feel less hungry if you keep it lower carb). Total calories 1000cal per dayBasically you can do whatever suits you best, swop between the plans to suit whatever's happening in your life. It's wonderfully versatile in a way that the other VLCDs don't seem to be (although they could be - they just aren't promoted that way). Ketosis is a red herring in that it isn't the reason VLCDs work - they work because they're very low calorie (the clue's in the name). But it seems Ketosis reduces appetite, so it can be helpful to stay in it. On a diet of 800cal or less you will be in Ketosis most of the time (unless you eat 800cal of Mars Bars, in which case you won't be ). Hope that helps!

Thank you for any advice. I think that sounds really sensible. I love the banana shakes and someone I know lives on choc mint. When are you planning to start? Sounds to me like it might be an idea to wait until Tuesday - it can be a little rough the first few days while your body gets used to the massive reduction in food. If you do choose to wait, it's a good idea to slowly reduce your carbs over the next few days - less bread, pasta, rice etc.
