Hi Everyone,
My name is Jo and this is my Wedding Weight Loss Diary. I've struggled with my weight and yoyo dieting for as long as I can remember!
It's now November and the weeks are flying by! My wedding is in late May and I need to get my act together! The good thing is that my dress definitely fits however I don't want to just settle!
I want to feel beautiful and confident on one of the most important days of my life!! I'm currently 14st 11lbs and my goal weight is between 10st - 10st 7lbs.
I started Exante yesterday and I feel like now I've been educated by some more seasoned exante dieters I have a clear vision of what I need to do and how I need to do it.
Sooooo yeah! That's it really, I'll check in and update my diary as often as possible. Until then I hope everyone has a great day!
And remember.... Don't be good, be great!!
Jo. Xx

Xx Good luck Jo, Exante can be hard esp at first, but it is working well for me. So far I have lost 34lb in 3months and dropped from a 22 to a 16. So you can definitely get in shape for your wedding. I find chatting and reading diaries on here a big help. Stay strong over these first few days and let us know how it goes x

Best of luck Jo, I too lost weight on a VLCD for my wedding, it's a great incentive!!! (Although they had to take my dress in by about 4 dress sizes 2 weeks before the wedding oops!!!! ). Exante is a great VLCD to do, I'm similar to Lilac, I've been on it for 2.5 months and have lost 38lbs so far. This place is great for support too!!! X

Breakfast - Gingerbread latte shake Lunch - Pasta Carbonara Dinner - White chocolate & raspberry shake Drinks - Black coffee, 2L water, herbal tea
The hunger was real today and I've gotta say it was hard sittings in front of the telly with my fiancé whilst he watched come dine with me and first dates which are obviously both centered around food!!
I'm just trying to visualize myself in my wedding dress at my ideal weight!! But sometimes I also think about burgers and fries lol!
Dear lord I need help!!!
Jo. Xx

If you find it hard seeing food try to stay away from it for a few days, you want to give yourself every advantage you can right now.

Hi Lilac, It's day 4 today and nothing has passed my lips other than Exante products and water/tea/coffee. I checked this morning and I'm in ketosis which is good, I think it's more mental hunger than actually physical hunger. Today I had chocolate pudding, coconut shake and a gingerbread latte shake. Hope you're day went well! Jo. Xx

Hey Jo, I'm getting married next year too (if I get round to booking it!) and have about 6 stone to lose. Exante is the best vlcd I've done, and I've just lost 12lb in my first week! Hope you get into ketosis soon, gets so much easier then x

Hey Jo, I'm getting married next year too (if I get round to booking it!) and have about 6 stone to lose. Exante is the best vlcd I've done, and I've just lost 12lb in my first week! Hope you get into ketosis soon, gets so much easier then x Congratulations on the impending nuptials. It's funny I thought I'd have so much get up and go about losing weight for my wedding but all I can think about is food even though I'm not physically hungry. Just now I had a though and it was "Ohhhhh, you have a really nice homemade Ragu in the freezer. You don't want to waste it by not eating it for months and then having to throw it out. Just have that with some pasta and start again tomorrow." As of my 4th day on plan yesterday I've lost 6lbs amazing!! So why do I want to sabotage myself?! I haven't cheated and perhaps it doesn't help that it's now 04:27am and I'm still up #Insomnia , I'm going to go to bed and hopefully that will solve the issue! When are you looking to get married? Mine is in May everything is pretty much booked just need to finalise invite designs and do a menu tasting! It's been a wonderful / slightly stressful experience, I'm looking forward to the special day coming around now. Emotions wise stress etc are my trigger for binge eating and stuffing my face with more food than I care to think about which doesn't help lol. Still what will be will be. I'd like to think that I could do well on this diet even if I make it to 11st instead of 10. I just don't want to be the size I am now!! Congratulations on your first week loss that's fantastic, hope you're still getting on great! Jo. Xx

I so know what you mean, I have always battled more with the psychological side of weight loss than the physical - I think my brain edges towards self sabotage in lots of ways. When people say it's mind over matter they're quite correct - just a shame the mind is so much harder to overcome than the matter! This is why VLCDs work best for me. I lost 2 stone on slimming world but then started cheating and didn't follow it properly, purely my brain encouraging me to eat the wrong things. I don't get tempted to cheat on VLCDs as its such a big commitment in the first place to get into ketosis and I feel so much better when I'm there. Hoping I can get all the way to goal this time! Sounds like you're v well organised for your wedding, I wish I was! Stress always has me reaching for cigarettes or chocolate... I'm hoping to get married late July or August next year, it will be very informal hence the lack of panic!! I just can't bear the thought of being a fat bride, so my motivation is v high right now! Maybe that's subliminally why we haven't set a date? Hm. Here's to a great day today, hope you've woke up in a smashing mood, feeling great and on plan - lets do this! X
