I agree with lilac. This diet is hard enough as it is.

I'm new to the forum, I have come from the Exante forum as I saw something about it being shut down or something. I am on day 3 and I'm getting on really well. Obviously I feel hungry but I think that is more because of habit rather than actual hunger. I keep myself busy and that seems to help. Biggest temptation for me is at work.. so many biscuits etc but I have managed to resist so far Anyone else just starting out? xx

Hi Shiningstar. Welcome. Day 3 is often a difficult one so if you can get through today it's a great sign. Well done on resisting the biscuits, not easy I know.

I'm feeling strong so hopefully it will be a good day.
Do you know if I can drink coffee while on the diet? will it effect my results?

I also came over from Exante of the same name Sugarsmith. Just keep drinking it will ward off the hunger which will go after a few days. Anything, as long as its sugar free, like zero coke, oxo, and I also use Alpro light in my tea and coffee as its relatively sugar free. The lactose in normal milk is basically sugar and inhibits weight loss, as will citric acid in some drinks, so any soft drink starting with zero is OK. Take care Anne

Hi Anne, Thank you so much for the information. I have had a few cups of coffee over the past couple of days so I hope it wont make too much difference. I will definitely pick up some Alpro Light. Thanks for the tips

I drink tea and coffee with normal semi skimmed milk and if I stick to the plan I lose weight, so don't over stress about having the odd cuppa. I have 4-5 cups of tea/coffee a day probably. Well I'm on my 3rd today at 4pm and have had a coke zero too.

Thanks for the tips Almond milk, the unsweetened one, is also lovely in coffee and again virtually sugar free and low in calories. Take care Anne

Hey guys,
Well here it goes! Having the chocolate shake for breakfast today but I'm waiting until 12 to have it as I get really hungry in the evenings and I'm also on nights tonight and tomorrow so I will have an extra food pack or two as will be awake 24 hours.
I think I would be better having an extra pack than risking falling off the wagon, what do you guys think?
I weighed myself this morning, 15st 6lbs so 5 stone to lose!!!! Yuk!!
Hope you are all well
Rachael xxxx

I drink 1-2 cups of tea a day with skimmed milk. I often have a glass of Pepsi Max too. I know it's not on the allowed list but I can't stand Coke zero. I still lose weight doing this.

I would say if you are desperately hungry yes have another pack rather than anything else. But before you do try to drink more water and distract yourself - get a bath, go out for a walk, or whatever you can do to distract yourself. You'll soon learn you weren't actually hungry. By days 3-5 you will definitely not feel hungry!!!!
