I (re) started exante 3 weeks ago and have so far lost 10lbs, I'm quite pleased with this, but, I haven't actually lost any thing now for 8 days. I have been 100% on plan, 3 pks and a small meal, a bit of chicken or a large flat mushroom with either veg or salad. I have recorded everything and according to MFP have been between 750-900 calories daily. So my question is, how long have you plateaued for when you have been 100%? Desperate for that 'whoosh!' now.

I've never done the plan you are doing (are you doing working solution) so I'm not sure of the answer really but I have found TOTM and constipation can really halt your progress and then all of a sudden I get a loss. What are you cooking your low carb meals in? If it's with fat (like oil) I'd reduce that right down to fry light as that could be an issue.

I'm not familiar with this plan either, I have only ever done TS but I do find that constipation and not enough water can play a big part.

Thanks for your replies, after 10 days of no scale movement I lost 2lbs, patience is a virtue they say! Lol. I used to do Cambridge, and 3 packs and a small meal was step 2. Some White and green foods allowed so eg cottage cheese, chicken, cauliflower broccoli mushrooms , etc..limited quantities and not all at once! I only every use fry lite and although I am not the most regular person I have been more regular so to speak since starting exante. I started the plan with 14 weeks to go to Xmas and am aiming for a 3 stone loss. I know it's probably a big ask but as long as I am not too far away I'll be happy! I'm back on schedule now

Just keep chipping away at it. The big losses are lovely and sometimes they happen but sometimes they don't. As long as the scales keep going down that's what is most important. It took a while to put on the weight, so it will take a while for it come off.

Sometimes you will lose inches and not weight as the body metabolises to what you are feeding it. TOTM also plays havoc with weight loss. At weekends I usually swap/omit an exante pack in exchange for a low cal/low carb meal as I find eating the packs plus food is just too much. For example this evening I had pan fried cod with 1 cal spray, salad of lettuce, cucumber, toms, watercress and dropped one of the packs, that really filled me up. Whatever food you consume, its important to be aware of and count carbs and exante recommend no more than 5g extra carbs per day. Try having just two packs plus food if you are on the 3 pack a day diet. Anne

Hi Anne,
I've seen your posts on the exante forum but stopped going on it when I discovered this forum. Your losses are truly inspirational! I am doing 3 packs and a little food at the moment only 4 weeks in to this attempt! Although on Sunday's when I know I will eat a little more I just have the 2 packs. 13lb so far so not too shabby!

Well done Cheryl46 ....13lb is not too shabby at all. I am doing 3 packs no food most of the time except on food week. However tonight I have decided to treat my self and have a meal out. I like whether spoons chicken skewers, not many kcal and just protein and a bit of salad, I also drop a food pack if I do this. I do it so I can also go out some times and still be on the diet. I must admit it is not often thought maybe once during the 3 weeks that are TS usually about half way through the 3 weeks. I dont mind just having the 3 packs the rest of the time.
yes I have noticed that all weeks are not equal, one week I even gained 1.5lb and had only had 3 packs a day, it is odd how your body deals with things, but as the others say as long as the trend is downwards we will get there.

Hi Wino, Yes I've discovered the chicken and pepper skewers, they are a lot more satisfying than the chicken Caesar salad! and with less than 500 cals well worth it! I went 8 days again without losing anything so think it must just be how it's going to be! I had been having 2 bars and wondered if this was having an affect, I had a day with no bars and the next morning lost 2lbs, I had 1 bar the next day and my weight went back up a lb! So I am going to try and restrict them! The general trend is still down so I will persevere. All the best for your journeys ladies x

I also react badly to bars rather annoyingly. I wish I could work out exactly what it is but I have slow losses when i eat them.

You are so lucky. If I could eat 3 of those chocolate caramel crunch bars per day I most definitely would!

HI Cheryl, Thank you - I have only just seen this post mainly because last week I had some problems with mail downloads and also got locked out of this Forum. It was all to do with Windows 10 which is now sorted! You are doing well, glad to be of help. I regularly refer to the Exante food lists and keep a diary of what I am eating. Weekends, I replace an exante meal with a low calorie, low carb meal. Since beginning of March I have not touched Alcohol as this would only make me hungry it was all too much of a habit previously. Take care Anne

Well this has been the week of - but you look fine, anymore and you'll look gaunt' by well meaning friends who are still slimmer than you are! I got a lecture at the weekend from a friend who is doing a nutrition degree, about not eating enough and my body going into starvation mode! But when you're in ketosis this isn't supposed to happen! How the 'latest thinking' favours the 5:2 method to keep the metabolism guessing! All from someone with a BMI of @20 when mine is still (just over) 30! Very frustrating when everyone has an opinion on the best way for YOU to lose weight!
