I'm off to Edinburgh in September for 2 days to attend a gig, I've been before and know of some amazing eateries... however I know if I go to them I'll fall off my diet wagon spectacularly. What I would like to know from any natives is, where can I eat that has a wide variety of slimming world or otherwise waistline friendly fare? I passed more than one vegetarian place last time I was there, would they be the sort of place I should head? I'm flying over from N.Ireland so taking my own food is not really an option and I'm slumming it in a hostel so cooking facilities won't be too hot and I would rather just be able to go to a restaurant grab it and go. Thanks in advance for any help you can give me x

I'm not a native, and not sure this is really going to help, but we had a great lunch at 'The Witchery', if that's your sort of place. My memory is that the lunch wasn't large, and seemed pretty healthy. They have menus on line.
We also at at a Wetherspoons, and the menu was large with a few things which are SW friendly.
