i am following a DIY weightwatchers thingy, but i have PCOS and insulin resistance, so over time i have discovered if my carb intake is either more than 100gs a day or more than 50% of my daily diet i put weight on at a quite alarming rate!
so not strictly low carb but definately have to watch those little blighters!

I am following low carb and low cal. And am trying to lose the half stone I have put on since reaching my target weight last year. I have tried all the different diets but the low carb has given me tremendous benefit in the control of my diabetes. I used to use 28 units twice a day but with low carb I dont use insulin at all and my sugars are stable. I do use the Billy's diet High Protein Low carb shakes for breKfast and occasionally at other times of the day too for a quick meal helps me to keep on track.I keep my carbs to 20 any more and the sugars go up and do find the my fitness pal app very helpful to keep on top of calls and carbs.

I have just over 1st to go now rachgleeson. I have just finished week 10 and down 3st 9lb. Feel so much better for it too

so the lower carbs you do the less hungry you are is that correct? currently doing a mixture of celebrity slim and atkins. x

I still find I am hungry despite being low car, the only way for me to kill hunger it to up my protein intake, I have to keep carbs lowish (below 100grams a day and below 50% of macros), otherwise I just pile weight on daily. I tried really low carb, below 30g a day, but after 3 weeks I lost all energy, couldn't run or even go for long walk, would love to know how long term low carbers combat this? my body definately prefers low carb, i am sure it's to do with my PCOS

I've just started exante, can you use exante along with a low carb diet? So once I finish still use some of the bars alongside lox carb evening meal for example?
