Hi, I'm Billy. I follow a low calorie diet and do lots of exercise. I have been dieting since September last year and have lost 4 stone! I have yoyo'd for years so I am doing it slowly this time and I am determined not to go back to bad habits. I am finally seeing a difference when I look in the mirror and have lost a stone in the last 6 weeks. After 3 months of Slimming World I had lost 3 stone easily but for the following 3 months I only lost 1/2 stone and finally made the decision that SW was not working for me. So I bought a Fitbit and started calorie counting. I do 5 exercise classes a week as well as 20,000 steps during the week. At the weekend I try not to undo all my good work but its hard! The exercise has made all the difference. I do my weigh-ins on a Friday and this week I am hoping to reach a weight I have not been in over 10 years! Eek! Thanks for reading. Billy.

I really think the slow approach has worked well for me. I know I can lose a stone or 2 really quick but more always goes back on! I have made long term and hopefully permanent changes to my diet and added a lot of exercise. Now I just need to keep going! Slowly, slowly, catchy monkey!

i think thats been the difference this time with my, a life long yoyo addict!
Yes i did rebound this time, but had a few medical issues to deal with late last year (lol too long to type here please see food diary in the food diaries forum lol) because of the insulin resistance i always have a big first week weight loss (all water!) so i expect to see a drastic reduction from now on to 1 maybe 2lb a week if i am lucky (i plateau ALOT!)

I spent 3 months thinking I'll lose something next week when I was doing Slimming World. I followed the plan to the letter but it stopped working for me. I think it was too many calories per day. But it really helped get me to think about my food (bad) habits and I have managed to stick to dieting without the group. It put me on the right track!

I have a friends wedding in 4 weeks. Eek! They are photo people and I don't want a too fat a photo of me on their wall! I am about 1 stone less then when I saw them last (they live abroad) and I hope to lose around another stone before the wedding. 4lb a week is perhaps hoping a bit too much. 1/2 stone maybe.....

I started counting calories again because I realized I needed control. I do that from time to time to make sure everything is okay. If I need to lose weight, I only eat on a deficit of calories, and controlling helps me not to fall off.
