Just interested; what's everyone's view on eating fats?
I spent literally years eating lo-fat & avoiding anything full-fat as if it was the devil. Then some reading over the last year changed my mind & I introduced full-fat items back into my diet. Seems to be OK..... (& tastes soooo gooooooood)
Any thoughts?

Your body needs fat to function. Healthy fat is good. Low fat food tends to have high sugar content to make it taste good but sugar turns into fat in your body anyway so I am afraid the jury is still out on this one. x

Indeed it does... Funny how we all thought fat was the enemy forever!
Just had some lovely creme fraiche on strawberries - delicious.
However, I still see a lot of advice from professionals saying not to eat fat, even my own doctor mentioned it. Interesting, and it becomes increasingly hard to know whose advice to trust these days.

I think it takes a long time for information to trickle down to the every day doctors.. Even then I'm not sure if they implement it ..

There seems to be a big thing about sugar in America now, favouring fat for sugar. I know of 2 people who have been very successful losing weight by following a ketogenic diet. I believe it is similar to an Atkinson type diet but I sm not sure how similar or different it is
