It's my dad's birthday this week and he wants to have a BBQ at the weekend rather than a posh meal, so I was wondering what are you go-to low syn recipes for a BBQ? I've already considered the usual burgers, coleslaw, potato salad that kind of thing, but was wondering if any of you had any recipes that were a bit special for the occasion?
I wanna knock my family out with awesome tasting 'diet' food

I made Chinese 5 spice turkey sausages the other day, they were lush!
Extra lean turkey breast mince, stick it in a bowl and smoosh it with a fork. Add a generous amount of Chinese 5 spice and mix well.
Shape into sausages and cook in the oven until done, you could then brown them on the BBQ.

Do they hold together well just the two ingredients?

Haha that's ok I'm actually trying to keep a photo diary of my food intake as well (haven't put it up on here yet though) but there have been a couple times I've already started eating or finished before taking a pic... Oops
