Hi everyone, I just wondered whether anyone is getting married in 2016 and trying to lose weight for that?
My wedding will be next August and I want to leave around 4-5 stone till then.

Hi Cookie Monster.
I'm getting married on 2nd April 2016 and aiming to lose over 7 stone (!!!!!) Already 1 stone 8.5 down with Slimming World and I've found a lot of people who have lost the same amount in less time so I'm hopeful.
Are you exercising too?
Jen x

Good luck to you both! I'm getting married 8 April next year. Started off at 12 stone in Jan and hoping to be around 9-9.5 by next year (well, earlier than that but I hope to maintain!!) and hovering between 10st10lbs - 11st just now. Lost my way a bit this past month but getting there...

Hey! I'm getting married in May 2017 and started off needing to lose over 10 stone by then! It seems impossible, but I've already lost just over a stone in 7 weeks so maybe it is possible if I keep myself focussed good luck on your journeys ladies x

Hi ladies, I am getting married 28th May 2016, after a whirlwind romance! I am v v excited but also 3-4 stone over weight. I lost 3.5st previously on SW and having a honeymoon booked to the Dominican I am absolutely determined to lose at least 3 stone. It is doable, at 2lb a week I could even make it down to 10st7lb, starting weight was 14st12lb. Ive never been lower than 11st7lb in my adult life as far as I can recall though.
So lets talk dresses, has anyone chosen theirs yet? x

Hello, I'm getting married on the 29th December 2016! Very excited. Lost 2 stone already so just 9.5lbs to go. I joined a SW group a few weeks ago and am enjoying that.

I picked an ivory Essence of Australia fishtail gown. It was the 3rd dress I tried on and I fell in love with it straight away. The good thing is the dress already needs taken in but I am still 4st+ overweight so I asked if they could bring it in more once I've lost weight without completely ruining it and they said yes so it's time to knuckle down now!! All the best with the weight loss and your wedding. Jo xx

I'm getting married on the 20th April 2016 - 18 weeks to go! I've lost about a stone so far but I'd really like another two stones off by then as my dress doesn't even zip right now (it's an off the peg one from a high street shop so can't be altered that much). I'm doing a mixture of low carbing and VLCD in an effort to shift the weight.

I'm going to enjoy Christmas Day and Boxing Day, then it's right back to it. By then I'll only have 16 weeks to shift as much weight as I possibly can, which really isn't a long time at all.
I'll have a clear run between 27th December and 2nd April, which is my first hen night. I'm also having another hen night on 9th April, then we fly out to New York on the 18th and the ceremony is on the 20th. April will be tough so I need to lose as much as possible between now and then to allow myself a buffer!
