Not reading now, but absolutely loved 'The Night Circus' by Erin Morgenstern. Its a bizarre magical fantasy tale - not my usual type of book at all, and I would never have bought it from the description, but someone gave it to me & I was completely enchanted. It could have been me writing this post! Xx

I've recently read the first two if the Wool Trilogy by Hugh Howie, absorbing and interesting but a bit depressing because of their plot and how absorbing they are, if that makes sense? God, I would make a crap book critic!

God, I would make a crap book critic! I loved all the Wool books - but I thought there were more than three! I just finished reading The Midwife of Hope River, it was ok I suppose but I wouldn't highly recommend it. Next up I think will be Mr Mercedes by Stephen King, as you can see my tastes in literature are rather eclectic

I just finished Anne Enright's The Green Road. Colm Toibin's Nora Webster was excellent too.

Gosh, haven't read any Thomas Hardy since school, maybe I should try again.
I've just finished 'Snowdrops' by A.D.Miller - its a thriller / crime story set in Moscow. I enjoyed it; you can feel the menace growing as you go through it.
My tastes are hugely eclectic....

I've gone into my 'nostalgic' mode. I'm re reading all my Miss Read books... Village School, Thrush Green etc. They are set in the 1950's/60's and I went to a village school in the 1950's.
