A holiday, wedding, ttc, birthday...I'd love to hear everyones motivations and if they have a date in mind! My big aim is my sisters wedding next may. I'm going to be maid of honour and determined not to look a big fat mess in a dress! I've lost 2st2lb so far but still 10stone to go so it's doubtful I'll get it all off in time! Going to get as near to target as possible. My mini goal is going to look at bridesmaids dresses in september, I'd like to be under 20stone by then. I like to break it down into mini goals otherwise the task just seems toooo big! x

Thats a great goal though! You have a whole year to lose and IF you average 1 1/2 - 2lbs per week you'll be getting close to your target by then! Thats not even including any woosh weeks! I am aiming for my holiday (I'd like to get rid of a few more inches) in the short term, My 30th birthday (sob!) in the medium term and then Long term I'd just like to stay healthy and active... also finding some very attractive young man to have on my arm would be an added bonus haha I still have about 9 1/2st to go but I know I have to get there one day! I totally agree that mini goals are the way forward!

Hello Claire
Well done on your weight loss so far! What a lovely incentive!
I don't really have a date in mind, just want this attempt to be my last. I have a lot to lose, at least 10 stone, so I am here for the long haul!
I look forward to chatting with you often x

I have no plans but started the year with a 1lb a week challenge. It's been a bit up and down but mainly down, at a leisurely pace lol

Although I was excited for her it was rapidly followed with thoughts of OMG I'll look awful in the photos! Its been fab motivation & whilst I'm unlikely to be at goal I feel so much better than I did and going to have fab outfit as a reward

I'm aiming for happiness I know that sounds silly but from being a reasonable weight to putting on 12 stone over around 4 years and being miserable the whole time I keep saying I will finish when I'm happy I'm already starting to love my reflection βΊοΈ ?

I'm sure I heard one' My immediate goal is to do more than 5 mins on my exercise bike without having to be helped off, sweating like a bullock.

My ultimate goal is to slim down to get to a healthy weight for having a baby however in the meantime I would also like more energy, healthier and happier person - and I can tell the difference already in just a stone. xx

I swore to myself that the year I turned 50 I would change my life, lose weight stop smoking blah blahdity blah and I DIDN't do any of it. Fast forward 2Β½ years and I was still fat still smoking still feeling and looking like hell and something just clicked and I knew it was now or never I've not had a ciggie for nine months (I have a puff on an e-cig when needed) and I've lost 92lbs so far. I set out to change my life and gave myself a year to do it. I'm nine months in and still determined to do this thing Tracy

I am trying to get into good shape when I turn 40 and keep it that way after. That is still over 2 years away but I would like to maintain for as long as possible before hand and I still have about 75+lbs to lose!
