I didnโt do much at the weekend. Well, apart from helping hubby get organised for a week away on the mainland, he left this morning. Itโs all very well remembering tools etc, but I check for the necessities like...clothes hahahahaha, toiletries and phone and charger ๐ We have never been apart a whole week since getting married Hahahaha..how will I cope? ๐
I also watched SCD and X factor and subsequently dreamt about Robbie Williams last night ๐
I hope everyone else had a more exciting weekend!

Hi everyone as usual I am not doing well on the diet and have been avoiding my thread (silly as I know I dont have to talk about diet on there) and the scales! I see a few others have gone quiet too so maybe we are all in the same boat? Anyway I thought I better try to keep up the non diet chat and hopefully a few people will pop in whether dieting or not! Its been pretty rainy here but we popped into town for a coffee (and fight) and then dropped my daughter off to meet her friends and my hubby and I took the dog for a walk by the sea. We decided to go for another coffee and fight and accidentally went into the same cafe as my daughter but luckily she didnt mind and her friends came over to say hi, very friendly for teens! They said we look alike which a lot of people say, its funny my hubby and I dont look much alike but she has inherited a mix of our looks so you can tell she's ours.

How lovely LP that you are so close to the sea that you can go for a walk on the beach. I do envy you. Sea fronts are so relaxing. I'm in the midlands and would love to be able to do that. Pets 'n' beaches LP, pets 'n' beaches !
Dearly wanted to go on the community walk in my area today but it was so rainy I didn't go. Difficult to chat to folks when your hood is up by necessity! managed to clock up 10 thousand steps walking locally anyway. Always makes me feel better mentally I live opposite the lickey hills but still prefer the seaside.

Living near the sea we often take it for granted. Its about a mile to the beach and we normally say we cant be bothered and just go to the nearby park. But sometimes we make the effort and of course its really nice! Must go more often.
Its a nice beach for walks here with what they call a greensward, a wide grass pathway, which runs between the beach and the houses but no road so its ideal for dogs.
Its very rainy here today and a bit grey but not the strong winds they threatened. Its funny as there was to be a big cycle event that would shut down all the roads in the 100mile circuit and of course all the locals were not too pleased, but they ended up cancelling due to the weather warnings. Mum was pleased as it means she can get to work no problem! But the weather has now changed to gentle rain and a light breeze, so really the cycling could have gone ahead. Bad luck ๐ต๐ด๐ณ
We will probably go out later to the village and have breakfast at the cafe, as my hubby goes back to work tonight on a night shift and he likes to go for a breakfast on his last day. My hubby does mainly nights and says the problem with night shifts is you can waste your whole day before one thinking about it and trying to rest so you dont really enjoy the day, so now he always tries to do something nice.
I am also having a campaign of trying not to waste my time off thinking about work actually and am making a list of things to do that keep my mind busy, nothing too arduous just reading and so on. But I do find I have a tendency to start brooding about my problems which are mainly work related right now, so im trying to focus my mind on nice things.
Music wise I heard a version of "The big rock candy mountain" by Burl Ives on a TV show, which I liked so I have googled him and listened to a few of his hits.
Well I know all this is not very interesting and could go in my diary fred! But at least it keeps this chat thread going iand I shall get back on my diary later and hope I haven't bored you all too much.

Not a lot been going on here to chat about - except cleaning. We have visitors arriving on Wednesday and Friday and staying until October 7. That's 10 whole days of what I am sure will be off plan food. It's Mr Pom's 65th so lots of celebrating will no doubt take place. On Friday, we made a list of things that HAD to be done to get the house and patio ready for 3-inhouse visitors and a party for 11. We are already a bit behind schedule so today is going to be a long, hot and sweaty one and things really do have o be done. The weather has warmed up again as well just to make it more difficult for us. Back to over 30oc again
