Hi everyone,
Got a bit of an odd question. I'm also curious to know if anyone else out there is a scooter rider.
Basically I use a kick scooter as part of my commute and I'm wondering how to gauge how much energy or how many calories that takes.
Yes, by kick scooter I do mean one of those scooters you see kids on that you propel yourself along on with one foot.
A typical scoot is usually 8-10 minutes (I don't think I could take much more than that) and I am usually out of breath by the end. I use fitness trackers and can't track my activity as it's too slow for a bike ride and too fast for walking.
Also, does anyone know if it's any good for you? Which I know is a daft question because it must be, but I also don't think it can be doing my knees much good as the right knee is the weight-bearing one that stands on the footplate and is often slightly bent for short periods leading to the muscle burning a bit.
And does anyone else use these scooters? It's harder than it looks and is less comfortable and requires more concentration than cycling!
