Had a nice relaxed day today with my Mum, or Nuggets as she is now nicknamed due to a typo on my thread.

It's raining here too Rosie, the seagulls at work looked a bit sorry for themselves and hid under a tree. They are obviously going a bit soft!

Hello all. Just peeking into this new thread!
I can hear seagulls calling right now. Did you see the poor gull that fell into a huge factory vat of curry sauce? It was orangey-brown. Thankfully the rescue people cleaned it but it still smells powerfully of curry. They'll keep it for a few weeks until the natural oils return to its plumage and then release it. I hope the curry scent goes because otherwise the poor thing might come under attack. I'm so chuffed that it survived. I love animal rescue people - and human rescue people, of course Ha Ha.

Let's hope that the poor bird is ok when It gets released. Hope it doesn't try to scrounge Curry again LOL

Lol I can just see it going back for more!
Had a reasonable day at work. It's not bad now I have some nice girls working with me, but sadly one is leaving soon. I do like seeing the kiddies but I don't get time to chat or play with them, of course, which is a shame. But it is very busy just serving and washing up so we have to get on. I am looking about for a new job as my Dh is being made redundant next year and we thought a few more hours work for me, would help our budget. But I'm waiting till I see something I really like the look of at the moment as I have plenty of time to look before next year.

Lovely to see new posters joining in, welcome Sunshine up here today but no heat wave. I should really finish of today's housework, before its time to start all over again tomorrow Might treat myself to a long bubble bath later, while the dreaded football is on tv again! Hope you are all having a good day x

Hello, A pidgeon has been nesting in my garden tree about six feet from my house. I have watched the pair build a nest over the last few weeks. Sadly I went out this morning and its egg had fallen out and cracked, the dead chick inside was so perfect. So sad

Oh so sad indeed what a shame. I watched a duck and ducklings recently in the stream. According to another walker, they were just born hours earlier. I was fascinated watching mummy guide the babies into the water and climb up a tiny rock, down the other side and into deeper water Parenting skills at their best I kept my distance while I watched from a wee wooden bridge, I didn't want to alarm them! A wonderful sight and I was happy to have seen them x

Awww that would have been a lovely sight Nothing cuter than a duck being followed by lots of little yellow pom-poms. On a different note Did anyone see the Horizon programme the other day ? A doctor was doing an obesity road trip. There was an interesting case about a mum (slim) having a really bad tummy bug. The cure was to introduce fecal matter from her daughter (overweight) The mum was cured of her bug but became overweight. makes you wonder if we know the whole obesity story, maybe lots still to uncover

I didn't see that one Lottie, sound interesting though I would liked to have watched it. Many of these Horizon documentaries make good viewing. I have been watching the Lose Weight For Love series. I really enjoyed it. I often watch Diet programmes that I can relate to
