Hi all, I hope you are all having a good week. I had a great 1st week (struggled day 1-3) but on my first weigh in I have lost 8lbs!!!!! ? However things aren't going well this week, I woke up yesterday with a terrible headache, today it is worse and migraine like, with awful neusea, it's so bad I have had to come home from work...is this the diet?? I have also started a period, which is unusual as my contraception stops them, sorry if too much info ? I'm drinking water all day, 3 litres daily. It might be just a migraine, but haven't had one for a long time. Please help Thanks in advance xx

I find that my hormones and TOTM really has an effect on my migraines, so it may well be that, rather than the diet but the change in food may well have exacerbated the symptoms? I'm no expert though, so maybe someone else has some helpful advice from the wealth of experience that there is on here.
Well done on your great first week's loss - what a great start. In the meantime, hot water bottle, dark room and some pain killers strong enough to bring down an elephant!
Feel better soon.

Hard to say because everyone is different, there are a lot of bugs doing the rounds at the moment, I'm off with a vomiting bug today and feeling dreadful I don't know what to suggest really, see how you go, I think it's unlikely to be the diet but it might be.

It could be the diet. I am a migraine sufferer and sometimes not eating regular can make it worse. I would have some grilled chicken or something from the exante food list until it passes without ruining the diet. Although i usually find my migraines tend to come early on in the diet. I currently have a headache but if becomes a migraine with the nausea will make self eat something that won't affect the diet too much. Hope you feel better soon x

Thanks all for your comments, they are really appreciated. After 3 days the headache has started to ease, I do wonder if it is hormone related as I read on the exante site that you can have a change in hormones on the diet? Plus having a period makes it more than likely this is what happened. I'm plodding on with the diet, despite feeling rubbish this week hopefully the scales will make it worth it!! Good luck to you all and thanks again for your replies xx

Hi bigju I also had a period when first starting ex ante (not had one for 6mth before that) I think the stored fat cells release hormones (not had one since)
Just posing in case it helpsx
