Today is my second day on Slim and Save and I'm determined to stick this time! I've tried Exante three or four times but never manage to get into ketosis due to the high sugar content, so always give up after a miserable, tearful, hungry week. I did a week on Cambridge (Step 2: three packs and a low carb meal) and loved it but I'm getting married in five months and I just can't afford to keep it up. So, Slim and Save seems to be the closest thing I can find to Cambridge but with even more choice! I bought a week's worth of mixed packs and I'm not 100% sold on the savoury meals so far but the bars and shakes are lovely! I did a Simplicity day yesterday but I was hungry in the evening so today is a Lifestyle day Starting weight: 14st 9.5lbs First goal: 12st 6lbs (BMI 29.9) Upcoming days off plan: college night out 27 November, work night out 5 December, 24/25/26/27 December

Good morning It's lovely to hear you have started on Slim & Save! If you enjoyed Cambridge step 2, you might prefer being on Lifestyle which involves having 3 packs a day then a low carb meal consisting of 100g protein and 200g veg, then you need to have your milk allowance and a multi-vitamin also. If you want some idea's of what you could have for your low carb meal, check out our recipe page, there are some fantastic idea's on there - recipes.slimandsave.co.uk/Our member's tend to say they lose around 1 stone per month on average, some people lose a little less and some a little more, but that is the average. So if you stuck to plan 100% you should be seeing some fantastic results in time for your wedding Remember that if you are going to be drinking alcohol on your planned days off, you need to come off plan 48 hours before you consume anything and also introduce 200g of carbs into those days so that you are fully out of ketosis before you have any alcohol. Best of luck for the rest of this week and keep us posted with how you're getting on x

Thanks Sarah, I'll be avoiding alcohol until Christmas but I'll definitely make sure I'm out of ketosis before I have anything! I liked my Lifestyle day yesterday so I'll probably stick with that for now. I lost 9lbs in my first week on Cambridge Step 2 so I know it doesn't affect losses too much. Day 3 today, I've found two packs so far that I didn't like but I'm powering through until I can do a "pick your own" order next week xx

That's great to hear, and well done for losing 9lbs with Cambridge, that's great Which pack's didn't you enjoy? It's good that you're trying a lot of them so that you can see which ones you like and dislike to you have a rough idea of what to buy next time We do have a special offer's page also, so do keep checking that to see if anything pops up you might like x - www.sns.co.uk/special-offers/

I didn't like the vegetable soup or the cherry chocolate shake. To be honest, I don't like soup much anyway so I'll probably struggle with the ones I have left. I also don't like meal replacement porridge packs so I turned one into a pancake last night I'm much more into sweet foods so next week I'll be ordering mostly shakes and bars xx

Sorry to hear you didn't enjoy those packs. With the soups, I only like the chicken and the thai so hopefully if you have any of these you might like them (maybe) haha Good idea turning the porridge into pancakes! Have you seen our Walden Farm Products we now sell? - www.sns.co.uk/walden-farms-near-zero/ Some of these are great to add to your packs, such as the syrups go great on the pancakes That's fine if you enjoy the bar's and shakes more, just remember it's only 1 bar per day Have you had a look at the allowed drink's list also, you can have drinks such as Ribena Plus and Cream soda - www.sns.co.uk/drinks-list.html

I bought some Walden syrups ages ago so I did have some pancake syrup last night I stocked up on Tesco cream soda, which I drank by the bucket even before Slim and Save! I'm trying to limit to one can a day though xx

Well I hope you enjoyed your syrup pancake We do advise only having a max of 500ml-600ml per day and make sure the one you get doesn't contain citric acid and if you can try and keep it as a treat and not have it everyday then that would be great Too much fizzy drink's are not good for your teeth x
