that's really interesting Katierose. I'm glad its not just me then who has noticed a difference in satisfaction levels. I actually prefer slim and save's products especially their savoury packs and their ready made chocolate shake. But cest la vie! If I can work it so I'm under a certain calorie amount then I'll try to do it that way.

Oh, almost forgot... today's packs were:
1 x exante coconut shake 1 x exante chocolate shake 1 x exante sausage mix (my favourite)!
Plenty of water and a small glass of aada's caffeine free diet coke

I think everyone is different re carb levels and what works. Some people need to be really low, for others anything under 100g daily is fine. On Exante we'll average 60g daily which seems to work for me although once I finish with Exante I plan to continue low carb and will probably go lower.

Thanks Kittybling. 60g is a good starting point for me to have in my mind. The difference in hunger levels today versus the previous days is so obvious that I think it's something I need to keep my eye on. I'm grateful to you for pointing out the potential carb issue. Thanks again.

I love the sausage mix too. I had the egg mix today made into an omelette with a handful of spinach in it. It is really nice. Lots of pepper and some salt helps it too.

Hi lilacpenguin. Your omelette actually sounds nice!!! Most unlike the scrambled egg version I had. I'll try your suggestion of pepper and salt next time.
I'm very excited as have just bought a breville active blend. It's on offer at Argos and I think you can use it to blend toe shakes with ice which turns them into a macdonald's milkshake thick texture.

I have the active blend and it makes a world of different to the shakes. I use 8 ice cubes and about 50mls more water than it says (I don't like it too thick) and it's lovely.

I need some suggestions for the best tasting exante bar for me to have whilst watching Jo Brands bake off at 9pm. Any thoughts? I think I've ordered them all!

My favourite so far is the chocolate chip cookie, not everyone liked it though. I tried blending my shake up with ice today after reading what kitty said earlier and it was really nice. My rubbish blender didn't fully break up all the ice, but it did enough to make it quite thick and it tasted much better somehow.

Lilacpenguin, your shake sounded lovely. I'll let you know how it goes tomorrow being blended in the active blender.

If you like the crispie bars like the chocolate orange I think you will like the jam and yoghurt bar.
